To be devastated at the demise of the Labour Party, and to wonder how anyone can look at themselves in the mirror if they vote for Corbyn now?

Just that really.

Been a Labour supporter all my life, til the last election. Because hell will freeze over before I will vote for Jeremy Corbyn.

I am literally devastated at the demise of the Labour party, that has been systematically destroyed from the inside out, by Corbyn and his cronies, and by Corbyn's pathetic behaviour. From his denial of bad behaviour from his party, to the way he shuts down anyone who challenges him. (Including reporters, and his own people ..... if they don't agree with everything he says, he sacks them.)

In the last election, for the first time ever in my life, I was unable to vote, because I am not voting for Conservatives. (Even so, if I HAD to vote by law, I would vote for Conservatives before I would vote for Labour.)

The Labour party is dying a slow and painful death, and is a laughing stock. First of all we have the standing joke that is Corbyn, with his bizarre 'extreme-left' bollocks, and refusing to answer any questions that don't suit him, .......'Mr Corbyn what about the antisemitism in in your party?' 'YES it is a nice day isn't it? Thank you, goodbye!' Fucking twit! Hmm

And then we have his ludicrous and laughable cronies... Diane 'can't count for toffee' Abbott, Monroe 'bigoted ranty' Bergdorf, and now Eddie fucking Izzard in a dress. Hmm

Even people I know who were obsessive Corbynites a year or so ago, are cringing with embarrassment now, as he turns the party into more of a laughing stock every day. And as I said in the thread title, how can anyone POSSIBLY support him and the Labour party now?

That's it really. I am literally so gutted at the demise of my party.

Until Corbyn fucks off and takes his cronies with him, Labour is dead to me. And I know a LOT of people who think the same!

R.I.P. The Labour Party. 😢😢😢

Gottaget....I read that article, and it is full of the same apologist shite polluting the Guardian this morning

If you are determined to see Anti semitism then you will see it.
You've not taken any of that article on board even though it explains the mural.

IntelligentYetIndecisive · 02/04/2018 13:20

Labour and Conservative parties both have issues with xenophobia, racism, misogyny, antisemitism and inequality.

That's the problem. Labour isn't supposed to have these problems.

Why do the extremes of both parties look so similar?

Thehamsterspajamas · 02/04/2018 13:20

Totally agree that there’s antisemitism to the left and xenophobia and racism to the right along with neither side doing their best for women. It’s a total shitstorm wherever you look

Gottagetmoving · 02/04/2018 13:22

The Tories have had two female leaders and two female PM

Thatcher hated women. Not sure she actually liked anyone really,...but she certainly didn't like women...and she despised gay people.

SeaWitchly · 02/04/2018 13:22

I really like Corbyn and his policies... however I am disappointed so far with his/the party’s handling of the anti-semitism issue and self Id of gender.
That said, I will still be voting Labour over Tory or Lib Dem. All the parties have issues and MPs/policies that I disagree with. Labour however is the only party I see trying to make things better for ‘the many’ rather than protect the interests of those already at the top of society and so I will be voting for them.

BishopBrennansArse · 02/04/2018 13:22

@BertrandRussell agreed. It's about the party and the policy not who is the current leader. There are policies I'm not happy with and I'm hoping they get resolved quickly as there isn't another party that matches my politics. New Labour didn't either.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 13:25

I voted for Tony Blaire! Wouldn’t consider myself a blairite as an adult I don’t hero worship politicians.

Amazed anyone can hero worship Corbyn or in the past thatcher.

Wierd. I suppose it’s the adult version of screaming at one direction.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/04/2018 13:25

Corbyn should pose with copies of the sun and attend functions with Paul Dacre. He should then accept that capitalism is the only viable economic system. The homeless and poor are accepted collateral damage.

He should embrace arms sales as good for the economy and the odd war would do wonders for national morale. A hardline stance should be taken on social security afterall there’s no magic money tree.

Ah, the centre.

birdsdestiny · 02/04/2018 13:27

If you think that this only about corbyn I am afraid you are mistaken. If corbyn resigned tomorrow it would offer me no reassurance about the makeup of the Labour party.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 13:27

Jazzy beats - labour offer real solutions and a serious alternative? You drank the cool aid didn’t you!

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 13:28

It’s extremes of both sides that have the issues.

I see Corbyn as the extreme left and Farage as the extreme right.

As said above that’s the problem. Labour isn’t about this. It should be setting the example.

BishopBrennansArse · 02/04/2018 13:29

Corbyn isn't actually that extreme, though.

Joanna57 · 02/04/2018 13:30

@Mydog

Ah yes, Yvette Cooper.

Now there is a woman that I could support.

Shame that labour can't/won't dump JC and get behind YC.

Now if that happened, it would all get VERY interesting.........

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/04/2018 13:31

Just shows how effective the press have been in framing corbyn as hard left. Farage is never referred to as hard right.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 13:31

No it’s not just about Corbyn for me either it’s the direction labour are heading and the tone of hatred and vitriol abounding in the new membership.

Ghosto you care not one jot for the homeless of the poor as you know with the dear leader at the head neither will be helped because he’s unelectable

Gruffalosgrandma · 02/04/2018 13:33

I am voting labour and joining the Labour Party because of Corbyn. I've lived long enough and through enough governments to recognise a man of capassion and integrity when I see one. Too many are swallowing the Tory dirty tricks. Vote Tory and you lose your NHS . Vote Tory and there will be more and more working people needing to access food banks, more disabled people losing essential benefits. No party is pearly white and I'd like to see the media washing some of the Tory dirty linen in public for a change .

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/04/2018 13:34

Mydog, you know nothing about me.

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 13:37

Mmm Ghosto I just did.

Yes joanna it would

ghostyslovesheets · 02/04/2018 13:38

you know what wins election - leafleting, door knocking, canvassing face to face - I have yet to meet a momentum member here who does that - it's just us long term party members slogging door to door in the rain trying to defend stuff that sits uncomfortably

Ghosto do you do the donkey work?

Mydoghatesthebath · 02/04/2018 13:38

I know to get the policies we both want you have to get elected

Whizbang · 02/04/2018 13:41

Gottaget...and if you and your fellow travelers are so determined not to recognise blatant anti-Semitic imagery due to your political stance, then I can’t help you. However I can be, and am, offended by your wilful ignorance.

Nixpix1 · 02/04/2018 13:44

People just need a reason to complain about him. Grow up and do your own research rather than just listen to what the media says.

JessicaJonesJacket · 02/04/2018 13:44

After Yvettte Cooper's performance on webchats on here, I sincerely hope she doesn't replace Corbyn. tbh I think that's a massive problem for the Labour factions that want to replace him. There is no obvious replacement.

Heyduggeesflipflop · 02/04/2018 13:44

Some of the corbyn supporters in this thread astonish me - if the events of the last week had been ascribed to the tories you would be baying for blood. The Labour Party is simply not credible - what is wrong with you all!!!?

ShackUp · 02/04/2018 13:45

I wish to apologise to everyone for voting for Corbyn in Islington North between 2004 and 2010, I'm very shame faced.

I'm politically homeless, so will be spoiling my ballot at the council elections.
