It's such a weird position for a baby to be put into.

It's a series of photos stitched together. Standard practise when doing 'baby photoshoots'

SaucyJack · 30/03/2018 14:54

It's likely to be a photoshop jobby with two or three pictures cut and pasted together. I have a photographer friend who does those twee photos who told me that that's what they do.

Dahlietta · 30/03/2018 14:58

Really? Why would anyone want such a thing? How very odd.

TheOriginalEmu · 30/03/2018 15:00

newborns are crazy flexible. as you can see by the fact its asleep! i'm pretty sure the baby is 100% fine.

AlonsoTigerHeart · 30/03/2018 15:01

There's a gazillion baby pics like this, why single out the Rooneys?

Madbengalmum · 30/03/2018 15:04

Typical baby photoshoot pose, Anne Geddes style, a bit naff imho.

ourkidmolly · 30/03/2018 15:05

Who is baby Rooney?
I find those posed of newborn babies extremely weird. Why would you put your baby in a flowerpot or cake? Contort their features or photoshop them? Odd.

Amanduh · 30/03/2018 15:06

I think it’s cute

SouthWestmom · 30/03/2018 15:07

Looks photoshopped, don't worry op.

Housewife2010 · 30/03/2018 15:07

I don't like the newborn photo shoots. The babies are always asleep and they look a bit creepy - reminds me of the photos in The Others (and don't get me started on cake smash photos...)

BennyTheBall · 30/03/2018 15:11

Oh I HATE that type of baby photo.

So unnatural looking - folded in half propping up its head? Why? No baby ever does this, it looks grotesque!

SpringNowPlease2018 · 30/03/2018 15:12

when I was a kid I would see these and freak out because I thought they had actually posed a poor wee baby like this.

I think they are grim.

also people's own natural baby pics are so nice! Why does anyone like these?

paulweller73Murielswedding · 30/03/2018 15:13

Just looks tacky and unnatural.

Doh! I honestly didn't think of Photoshop! It is a it freaky though.
Alonso - cos this is the one in the OK magazine I was reading in the bath.

I think 'grotesque' is a smidge of an over statement.
Cute baby
Pic is altered
That's about it

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 30/03/2018 15:18

You do get idiots who don’t realise this is photoshop and try to recreate it at home though.

TomRavenscroft · 30/03/2018 15:20

I've never seen one of these photoshopped baby shoots before. I think it's horrible. Twee at best, at worst uncanny and creepy. Yuck.

BennyTheBall · 30/03/2018 15:23

I stand by my 'grotesque'. These distorted photos are just that.

I just don't get the appeal of a photo of a baby seemingly forced into an unnatural pose.

peacheachpearplum · 30/03/2018 15:26

I do think it looks creepy.

EssentialHummus · 30/03/2018 15:39

Another "creepy" from me. Though as long as no actual babies were harmed in the making of it, meh.

NorbertTheDragon · 30/03/2018 15:41

I didn't realise it was a photoshop, but I never put much thought into it apart from how a baby was strong enough to support his head in his hands! Blush

UrsulaPandress · 30/03/2018 15:50

A woman I know well has just had a photo shoot for her two week old baby. In a flowery headband. I am beyond shocked as she did not strike me as the type.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 30/03/2018 15:52

Not keen on those type of shoots but he's a gorgeous baby isn't he?

NotAgainYoda · 30/03/2018 16:02

Who is he/she? Why is he/she named after a potato-faced footballer?
