For me, the Parkland children being belittled and abused in so many ways is utterly heartbreaking to witness. But they have been more adult than the adults in their response. They have shown us what faith means, and bravery. POTUS? He is made much, much smaller.

Well - with Bolton by his side, now. Sad

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 00:09

I see that Hurricane Season is due to start in about 7 weeks? (1st June.)

Quantumblue · 10/04/2018 00:26

Well according to the press pool, he is ranting about the raid on Cohen being an attack on the country dog whistle for let's start a civil war

Thread dropped off my list, need to catch up!

lionheart · 10/04/2018 00:37

Not a Easter Grin.

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 00:54

We're at a difficult - not to say, dangerous - point, I think.

Michael Cohen, National Deputy Finance Chair of the @GOP, has disappeared in the last five minutes from their website.

lionheart · 10/04/2018 01:14

Horrible.

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 01:17

He's going to blow a gasket if he keeps on like this...........

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 01:21

The effect of sanctions. A CNN Money piece.

Russian Sanctions and eg Deripaska

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 01:23

I wonder who else (apart from Cohen) has been on the blower?

Sleipnirthewonderhorse · 10/04/2018 01:25

Lionheart we should be grateful that he's trying to distract by whining on about Horrible Hillary. The next stage of distraction probably involves dropping bombs.

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 01:29

You'll note that the transcript read 'the' Hillary Clinton. Unless that was him mashing his words - which is entirely possible - it presages an interesting development in his view of her.

Sleipnirthewonderhorse · 10/04/2018 01:36

Apparently "many people" have said Trump should fire Mueller, according to Trump (bet he can't make them). I don't think I've actually heard Trump talking about firing him before.

Sleipnirthewonderhorse · 10/04/2018 01:38

Name them, not make them. Not that it made much more sense right way round.

The search warrant for Michael Cohen’s office was sought by a US Attorney appointed by the President and approved by a judge. That’s no witch hunt. That’s the rule of law.

As Trump floats firing Mueller, all Members must speak out — or stop feigning devotion to the Constitution.Adam Schiff added,

Trump just floated the possibility of firing Robert Mueller.

"I think it's a disgrace what's going on. We'll see what happens. Many people have said you should fire him."

Feels like a new phase.

Where are things with Jared?

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 01:57

If I were Rosenstein, I'd be sipping on a very large whisky right now. Grin

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 01:58

It does so feel, doesn't it?

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 01:58

Likewise, SecDef. Wink

Sleipnirthewonderhorse · 10/04/2018 02:02

I'm pretty certain we've had "new phases" before, and it's not made a blind bit of difference.

cozietoesie · 10/04/2018 02:11

This doesn't feel like previous occurrences. He has Bolton at his side for one. They're also 'closer' than they've been before.

TheClaws · 10/04/2018 02:16

On one side he has Bolton - who’ll urge Trump to war, any war. On the other is Mueller, chipping away. I do think he’d do anything to be rid of the Senate investigation without fully thinking of the consequences.
