Last year didn't a famous reality star have a hotel room broken into and jewellery stolen? So what if a couple for example, boughtva house, showed all the rooms, it could be found as sold on the internet and the layout easily viewed, then the kids bedrooms through to utility all shown in great detail, the wife's working week, the husband's working week, where the kids are and when, exactly when someone is in and out of the country and when the house is empty or when only one parent is at home and it goes on, I don't even watch stories every day but how is that safe, sensible or careful. How on earth are people talking about child safety on a forum out of order? And stalkerish.
(By the way I've no idea if you can actually find house layout but I know on other thread people said they found a house that had just been bought etc)

Fruitbowl2 · 29/03/2018 21:36

Cheers Danielle and good luck with your future insta 👍🏻

ScipioAfricanus · 29/03/2018 21:38

Good luck with it all Danielle. I haven’t followed you on Instagram so only know you from this thread but it seems been interesting having the opinion of instagrammers on it too.

They get freebies every day cadyheron, a blind heron could tell you that!

So what if they do? Obviously need to declare it, but some for example, one name mentioned clearly says ad in all the posts but still getting pulled to shreds.
If they have a platform to advertise goods and state it's an ad, what exactly is the problem? All the but he thinks he' good but he isn't really shite hiding behind strikeouts, accusing people of putting their life out there when they shouldn't be as they have another job (so what? A generic lifestyle postings and non confidential stuff is fine),
etc.
So if one follower who watches stories is a stalker then they all are.
There's a bit of difference between watching stories/liking posts and running back here when you see something you didn't like -
"did you see? God, they're getting boring"

  • "did you see,did you see? They didn't make the word ad big and bright enough!"
- "they should grow thicker skins putting themselves out there, the compensation they get is enough..." (implying throw shit, as they get paid for it enough)

seriously - it's like the internet police. If they're doing a job, why shouldn't they? It might be one you don't agree with, but it's still legit. (Obviously need to declare ads, but people are still getting the boot stuck in even when they are doing it.)

Fruitbowl2 · 29/03/2018 21:51

Happy with everyone declaring #ad for paid, perk and gifts cadyheron 👍🏻 Well done them. Doing their jobs properly 👌🏻

Stellastartsitall · 29/03/2018 21:53

You're free to come here and air your views. Thank you for them. @cadyheron

HeedMove · 29/03/2018 21:53

So cadyberon lets get this right. People on here who are having very valid discussions are apparently stalkers and trolls/haters for looking at Instagram yet here you are ...with no valid discussion just throwing around accusations and trying to be offensive but you aren’t a troll or hater. Confused

Fruitbowl2 · 29/03/2018 21:55

To be fair in relation to the other commentary, this thread is running alongside the day to day of IG and people are saying they are unable to comment on IG, so what's the alternative.

You've made your point really clear now cadyheron.

HeedMove · 29/03/2018 21:55

and we are like the internet police but you keep coming here berating us for our discussions and trying to police us hmm.

Fruitbowl2 · 29/03/2018 21:56

And out of interest cadyheron who is putting #ad in every post and getting 'torn to shreds'?

shesakeeper · 29/03/2018 22:00

Looking forward to this thread going to shit again overnight...

Mumofkids · 29/03/2018 22:01

CadyHeron your argument is actually exactly what you are doing.
It could be a legit job. But it isn't. Selling your kids isn't legal. Using them to make money isn't legal. They've currently got a loophole.
And having just seen a story, someone is definitely playing the game, very clever with tactics.
These people don't need you trying to halt discussion.

Fruitbowl2 · 29/03/2018 22:02

Shesakeeper there's a full moon so who knows what could happen.

Fruitbowl2 · 29/03/2018 22:04

Are you 'stalking' a story mumofkids? 😁

Mumofkids · 29/03/2018 22:22

@fruitbowl2 I'm terribly for stalking cooks (Donal Skehan as one- lol I don't even know how) and then I think I'm going to cook all these amazing things!

Mumofkids · 29/03/2018 22:27

Ooh is that rude, are they chefs? Apologies any chefs out there cooking!

Fruitbowl2 · 29/03/2018 22:27

Mumofkids 😂

CookingUpAStormTonight · 29/03/2018 22:32

Just how passive aggressive is MOD's latest story thingy - let's compare less......... she really has mastered how to shut down any comment about her freebie lifestyle #blessed #fangirlsonly

CadyHeron · 29/03/2018 22:32

And out of interest cadyheron who is putting #ad in every post and getting 'torn to shreds'?

Read back the post, and you'll see quite clearly. People complaining they're not declaring "free holidays" when it states quite clearly on each photo the word ad.
If you can't read then you might think that there was no declaration.
About the only explanation.

Booie09 · 29/03/2018 22:33

#danielleparry I am a nosy fucker so i am gutted you are only doing your hair...good luck will miss gruff, but in 20yrs he will be playing Glasto x

LunaDoot · 29/03/2018 22:37

I do fear for the mental health of the children involved, and wonder how this will play out in these families ten years down the line when the kids become young adults.

I thought most people were pretty clued up about online privacy, and I’m still trying to understand how this whole Insta-stars thing started. So you set up an Instagram account and add a bunch of pics of your family, and keep the account public. One day you notice you have 200 more followere than the previous week and that’s seen as A Good Thing?! I literally can’t think of anything worse than strangers looking at my kids. Obviously they need a big following before brands will see them as a good advertising platform and approach with freebies etc.

It’s facinating... In a car crash TV kind of way. And a bit bazaar, but really interesting to discuss none the less.

allaboardtheallergybus · 29/03/2018 22:38

Cookingupastorm

Waaaay too invested in what others are doing? Hmm

Mumofkids · 29/03/2018 22:39

Cookingupastorm absolutely. Definitely not intelligently challenged. Sneaky tactics! Upping the game 😬
CadyHeron see, she really doesn't need you. She knows exactly what she's doing.
One I must unfollow is Victoria Beckham. What even are those clothes and shoes? Is it a joke? Will she care if I say this on mumsnet?

Fruitbowl2 · 29/03/2018 22:41

Haven't looked if you're talking about MOD. Have you seen MP's AD labelling. Good isn't it? Have you read the ASA rules I posted upthread? MP's comply with them.
