Mine is everywhere I see everyone has a Pandora charm bracelet on.
Whilst I own the bow necklace and earrings.. I can't see the appeal in the charms :/ yet apparently they're the best thing according to my best friend.

UnderThe Desk - you've nailed just why being bullied at work is so shit, because along with the powerlessness of being bullied by someone senior goes the shame of it, the feeling that as a grown assed adult you should be able to suck it up and deal with it.

StealthPolarBear · 26/03/2018 11:19

Well i wouldn't have usually had the wine but as you've given that specific instruction...

tortelliniforever · 26/03/2018 11:19

Dieting never works longterm and it makes eating boring.

TheLastNigel · 26/03/2018 12:33

I love the Toby Carvery and would go there as a choice over most expensive/fancy restaurants.
I'm not always that busy and I'm not that impressed by people that always are or pretend to be. Sometimes I'm just doing nothing and like it.

The80sweregreat · 26/03/2018 13:45

i like the Toby too, the food is usually nice and it doesnt cost an absolute fortune either in the week. My local one is very friendly , the waitresses are always pleasant and its clean and tidy. its a treat once a year here.

Most other waiter service chain restaurants are a bit over rated. its all style over substance with a lot of them i think and very expensive for what you get.

HobnobBob · 26/03/2018 13:54

Madonna can’t sing that well and is overrated.

LimonViola · 26/03/2018 15:56

Spelling words correctly matters, and I judge people who constantly spell the same word wrong over and over again without learning from their mistakes. I also judge grown adults who know they can't use their native language correctly yet do nothing to improve their command of it, especially with so much knowledge and information out there online for anyone to access! Being an atrocious speller makes you look unintelligent.

Not all nurses are heroes. I've known several who have had a real sadistic streak and taken great pleasure in treating their patients appallingly and get a kick out of the power they have over them. It's important not to deify them, to ensure the bad ones are identified and weeded out.

Council housing should be a short term solution for people in need, and passed onto other people in need when the tenant has improved their circumstances. It is grossly unfair to pass down tenancies between generations.

LimonViola · 26/03/2018 15:57

Killing animals for 'sport' (hunting, fishing, fox hunting, Bull fighting) is no worse than killing animals to eat them. Neither are necessary for our survival (in this country, I accept it is necessary in some countries at the present time).

thecatsthecats · 26/03/2018 16:23

I beg to differ, the people who tell exactly which road they used to get wherever they are, then ask which road you took and suggest different routes. Makes me want to scream angry

My fiance's grandad always asks. I always say 'the one the sat nav sent me down'.

SpringHen · 26/03/2018 17:28

Some victims of bullying are the bullies.

I have an aquaintance who puts in formal bullying complaints against anyone who doesnt fawn over her. She uses it to manipulate outcomes so that she is never accountable for her own fuck ups. I wish to god HR would add up all of her separate complaints about people and see that she is the aggressor/problem.

The80sweregreat · 26/03/2018 18:09

I do agree that not all nurses and doctors are saints. They are only human and do have a superior attitude. Same with some teachers too. Lots of very good ones but also lots that think they are better than everyone else and are not always keen on the average / struggling children.

Toadius · 26/03/2018 18:16

I don't like mushy peas. why is there a need to mush a perfectly good pea and can it.

LimonViola · 26/03/2018 18:20

Oh god the people who bang on about routes.

Another thing I can't stand in someone is when you're going somewhere unfamiliar and they insist on giving you a blow by blow set of directions on how to get there when you've already said its okay, I use a sat nav and they just carry on! Then you say 'honestly I won't remember that' when you get to about the tenth 'take a right here' and they refuse to stop. It's like compulsion keeps them carrying on and they're not capable of stopping before the end. It's oblivious and bloody rude, they think they're being helpful but when you've told them to stop twice and they just keep droning on it becomes rude.

ilikebread · 26/03/2018 18:21

Jeremy Corbyn is a tosser and I’m quite happy about Brexit.

I voted remain but I find it very hard to get emotional about a trading block. And even though I think there will be negatives I also think good things will come from it. Like so many things in life issues like this are complex.

I’m a green voter but I think they’re mostly useless but at least they don’t like bombing Arabic country’s like labour seem to do...

BigPinkBall · 26/03/2018 18:28

@LimonViola there’s a woman I work with and if she asks if I’m going anywhere at the weekend I just say no, because it’s just easier than listening to her bang on about road numbers and turn left at so and so pub etc. It doesn’t even matter where you’re going, it could be 300 miles away in a town she’s never been to and she’d want a blow by blow account.

ALongHardWinter · 26/03/2018 18:35

I find Twitter boring.

ALongHardWinter · 26/03/2018 18:37

I think Ed Sheeran is vastly overrated.

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 26/03/2018 18:39

Bing is great TV and Flop is a parenting genius.

SpringHen · 26/03/2018 18:46

I avoid the directions thing at family dos cause they always assume DH is driving

So that pisses me off.
(he DOES do most of the driving but it pisses me off that they assume right )

Teutonic · 26/03/2018 20:45

I don't know what controlled crying is.
I don't know what co sleeping is. I just stuck mine in their cots in their rooms from birth.
I'm not interested in brexit.
Im not interested in trans people.
Feminists make me laugh.
I hate any so called reality tv.
I hate soaps.
99% of music post 1990 is an assault on my ear drums.

RavenWings · 26/03/2018 21:01

Madonna can’t sing that well and is overrated.

Amen. Add Beyonce to that (although she can sing, she just kills it with unnecessary warbling).

CristinaYang · 26/03/2018 21:24

Is it bad that I agree with the majority of views on this thread? 😕

LimonViola · 26/03/2018 21:34

Oh god BigPinkBall, how irritating! So she asks where you're going then tries to give you directions!? What a knob haha.

Another: the eighties was a shit decade for music!

BigPinkBall · 26/03/2018 21:41

@LimonViola yes, and no matter how many times I say I’m going to use a sat nav or give her a blank stare and say I don’t know the names of any roads, she just carries on regardless, and wherever you say you’re going she’s got a story about how she/her cousin/neighbours dog used to live there and it’s just around the corner from xyz. Can you tell I’ve been listening to her drone on for 2 years and I’m about to bang my head repeatedly on the desk next time she starts!

Dandellion · 26/03/2018 22:07

That breast feeding has very little impact on the overall health and future successful life of a baby. A formula fed baby with graduate parents will have a far better start in life overall than a breast fed baby with impoverished and uneducated parents.

All sport is painfully boring.

I don't care about Ant & Dec. I don't even know which one is which.

That some people are born just more intelligent than others.

That being a Mum or SAHP is the hardest, most stressful job in the world. It's really not. Try doing a 14 hour shift in A&E. That's real stress.

That the vast majority of people do actually judge by appearances.

That we should have professional jurors. I have just finished jury service and some of the other jurors clearly didn't have the first clue what the lawyers were talking about.
