Mine is everywhere I see everyone has a Pandora charm bracelet on.
Whilst I own the bow necklace and earrings.. I can't see the appeal in the charms :/ yet apparently they're the best thing according to my best friend.

I think sahp with school age dc have a very easy life. Even with younger kids they still have it easier than wohp.

Dogs are revolting.

Bluetoo1 · 26/03/2018 06:37

There's nothing more dull than people moaning on about their journey - 'some idiot was towing a caravan', 'the queue at security stretched out the door', 'I left at 5am but it was still slow on the M25', 'they wouldn't let me take my handbag onto the flight' etc etc etc.
You got here - that's what matters.

ChaosNeverRains · 26/03/2018 06:56

Child free weddings are bloody marvellous.

Breastfeeding is overrated and if your baby won’t latch/is screaming/not sleeping because you can’t breastfeed just give the child a bottle and never look back.

It’s perfectly ok to start weaning from sixteen weeks.

Amy winehouse was an overrated junky without an iota of talent.

Randomname234 · 26/03/2018 07:10

Monogamy is overrated and unrealistic.

Its fine to be promiscuous, as long as you are safe, respectful and consensual.

Avocados are disgusting.

Being called cis is not offensive. It's simply a word to differentiate between trans women and 'born women'.

There's nothing wrong with choosing to not even attempt breastfeeding if you don't want to.
There's nothing wrong with letting your baby cry for a few minutes while they settle themselves down.
Dummies are awful looking and pointless and should be illegal. I don't see why anyone would want to use them.
As above with walkers and jumperoos. They can cause so many problems.
I think cot bumpers are safe as long as properly secure.
I think finding out the sex of a baby before the birth is the biggest mistake anyone could make.
I hate baby showers as they make you sound grabby. But a present if you want but there doesn't need to be a big party for it.
As above with wedding registries. Why ask for a present for your wedding?
Drinking a full bottle of wine in a night isn't terrible. I do it frequently. Also drinking during the day, or on week nights is fine. As is drinking when your children are in bed.
Short nail extensions are pointless. Long acrylics can look classy and elegant. I always have mine extending about haft an inch from the end of my finger.
As above for large hoop earrings. They can look nice.
I could go on but I've already said loads..

PaddyF0dder · 26/03/2018 08:57

@happymummy12345

Earning the gender of a baby is “the biggest mistake you could make”? Get a grip.

Also look up safe drinking levels. Opinions are irrelevant in the face of facts.

FusRoDah · 26/03/2018 09:49

I think combination feeding is pretty great and that more people who might otherwise have not bf (or stopped) would bf for longer if the NHS were allowed to explain how to combi feed successfully as an option.

LimonViola · 26/03/2018 09:53

I absolutely welcome a pre or post op trans woman into the cubicle next to me in the bathrooms or changing rooms, and will defend her right to be there if anyone started hassling.

Barring past trauma, if you're lucky enough to live in a country with free at the point of access healthcare, it's a bit precious to try and insist that only the gender of your choosing treat you. I've been called a cunt for that before so, I guess it's unpopular.

Magic Mike is a terrible film

There isn’t someone out there for everyone

Make up adds a decade.
Heels are ugly.
Brick phones that need daily charging or more are crap.

LimonViola · 26/03/2018 10:05

Make up adds a decade.

Another of mine is that not everyone wants to or relentlessly pursues looking young :)

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 26/03/2018 10:16

There ate enormous differences between breast milk and formula milk and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.

Whizbang · 26/03/2018 10:21

Skiing is boring. Beyoncé is really overrated

UnderTheDesk · 26/03/2018 10:32

Adults complaining that they're being 'bullied' should cop the fuck on and start standing up for themselves properly.

The80sweregreat · 26/03/2018 10:42

underthedesk, there has always been a bullying culture at my dh's place of work and people have been ill and off sick with all kinds of mental health problems. i understand what your saying, but some people just cant win with this situation. They cant stand up for themselves at all and the strong will always pick on the weak and the ones doing the bullying always get away with it or are reinstated - its not always so black and white i'm afraid.

( luckily dh can handle himself and doesnt stand for any nonsense , but we're all different)

ladybirdsaredotty · 26/03/2018 10:49

The negatives of breastfeeding on the MH of the mother (which can affect the baby negatively) can outweigh the physical benefits to the baby.

Eating meat is barbaric, the way people casually tuck into a LAMB'S LEG in public and that's totally fine is utterly bizarre to me. But I never say anything about being veggie unless asked. I'd lose all my friends. I also judge myself harshly for not being vegan but I couldn't do it, so I do get that everyone draws their line where they are comfortable.

ladybirdsaredotty · 26/03/2018 10:52

(Or not comfortable...but what they can manage)

BillywigSting · 26/03/2018 10:55

If any other animal behaved the way humans do or was as destructive as we are they would be considered an out of control invasive species and likely drastically culled.

Being a sahm is miles easier than going to work full time (and I have done both)

Labour is not the most painful thing ever. I mean, yes, it hurts. Quite a lot.

But tearing my achillies tendon hurt much more.

Lidl's ready made lasagne is loads nicer than most home made lasagne. The ratios and textures are just spot on.

Not every meal needs to have carbs. Or protein. Or even vegetables. As long as you get a good balance of them through the day, something like baked camembert and crusty bread is a perfectly good meal. (and a perfectly delicious one too)

Most educated people aren't quite as clever as they think they are. (not that they are dim, just not as bright as they might like to believe. I've known so so many stupid graduates.)

On a related note, it's much more important to be happy and kind than clever.

Noted :o

StealthPolarBear · 26/03/2018 11:09

Is it their finest range, the black add white box

BillywigSting · 26/03/2018 11:12

Yes! With a flatbread garlic bread and a glass of red wine. Heavenly 😊

stateschool · 26/03/2018 11:16

Wearing a military uniform does not automatically make you a "hero'.
Or any service uniform for that matter. I know plenty of absolute a-holes in the military who are there because they aren't fit for much else.
Calling them all Heroes, detracts from the real heroes in life, military or not. That Help For Heroes charity makes me cringe. I'd rather give my money to other causes.
