Had to have a meeting re DS; all fine.

But quite honestly, the stench from her was quite something else. I was in a small office and I was so overpowered by smells of garlic and chilli, or something.

It must be awful for the children!

Go ahead and complain. I dare you. I flipping double dare you. And then take your child and teach him at home, because we’re all sick of this shit and are too busy for it.

When I’m Queen of Everything, moaning parents will automatically find themselves home schooling their own kids and being expected to publish results in a Home Schooling league table.

Sequencedress · 22/03/2018 18:41

Armi
Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes yes!

GrannyGrissle · 22/03/2018 18:47

The childrens are being taught by her not snogging her. Go to her with your opinions though please and let us know how it goes? Grin

Sparklesocks · 22/03/2018 18:50

It’s a bit of a leap to assume that having a bit of a strong flavoured lunch one day when you met her means she constantly smells all the time...

mappoftheworld · 22/03/2018 18:52

DS says it is all the time.

I vote Armi for Queen of Everything.

Yorkshirebetty · 22/03/2018 19:31

Armi - you are brilliant!!! So, so true Grin

Yorkshirebetty · 22/03/2018 19:33

Really, mapoftheworld? What is your response to DS? Focus on learning?

derxa · 22/03/2018 19:35

Nasty Sad

DailyMailReadersAreThick · 22/03/2018 19:41

I must be in the minority as I think it’s rude to eat stinky food (garlic especially) if you’re working in close proximity to others.

I'm in that minority, too.

NeverTwerkNaked · 22/03/2018 19:48

Knew you were pregnant!! I used to cry at the smell of DH days after he had eaten curry, sense of smell was ridiculous!

RachelTeeth · 22/03/2018 19:55

Tell your kid to concentrate more on educating himself, or ask to sit further away from the teacher if he can’t cope. Fuck me, like.

KS34 · 22/03/2018 20:23

If you worked in an office with someone who permanently smelled of garlic/chilli you might find it unpleasant. Why is it automatically ok because it's a teacher?

What made you think it was the teacher? Someone may have been sat in there before your meeting eating something whiffy. It would be very odd if you to complain about it.

ILoveAntButHateDec · 22/03/2018 20:50

There is nothing at all stopping you from home educating OP. Why don't you give it a try seeing as the teachers breath smell offends you and your precious LO? I bet you won't though

Im sorry OP but youre being terribly U.

DairyisClosed · 22/03/2018 21:20

That's really unpleasant but she probably just doesn't notice. Most people don't realise that the food they have just eaten has made them smell. I particularly hate the cold smell of food (kitchen goes on lock down before anything is cooked) but even I can't avoid smelling if food (although I will sometimes notice and want to rinse myself with bleach). Unfortunately it is unavoidable. The cast majority of cooked food from rosy to pizza will leave a smell.

Armi · 22/03/2018 22:58

Cheer up, zzzzz - you win the ‘moaning home schooling parent’ prize. I knew one of you would appear to complain. Why not train to be a proper teacher and then you’ll really have something to moan about.

MaisyPops · 22/03/2018 23:01

Wasn't there a thread recently about someone in an office having an issue about a colleague's food. And the colleague's food was chilli and garlic and spices?

The OP was fine for anyone else to eat at their desks but they didn't like the smell.of curry.

Oh calm down, do.

Armi · 22/03/2018 23:33

Of course I understand that some children can’t attend school for very real, medical reasons. Just as you fully understand that my initial post wasn’t directed at those in that situation but don’t let that stop you hurling yourself about being the injured party.

It doesn’t really help your cause, you know.
