Overatkates is also a lovely lovely lady. She is using her blog (previously focused on her beautiful interiors) to raise awareness of Cerebral Palsy. She's fab.

Stellastartsitall · 26/03/2018 21:03

I'm genuinely happy I'm not a new mum and not a vulnerable target for their insidious marketing ploys. M&S are just digging a hole for themselves.

Fruitbowl2 · 26/03/2018 21:04

Yeah the recommendations are great thanks!

'Food parcels' is an unfortunate phrase...

Chimchar · 26/03/2018 21:05

I keep learning from this thread, and getting more put off IGers by the minute!

I must be naive as fuck, but I didn't know about the 'swipe up' money making thing.

I used to like IG because it was looking at nice pictures, now it's going all Facebook. Confused

PavlovaPrincess · 26/03/2018 21:08

@IsThisAWindUp agree about OveratKates. Gorgeous house and beautiful little boy and well done to her for raising awareness about CP.

IsThisAWindUp · 26/03/2018 21:09

You know Facebook own it, Chimchar?

idontknowwhatimdoing · 26/03/2018 21:09

Glad someone else doesn't like the home that made me. Your average 20 something can't afford that house and she brags about how much money she can save and how low her mortgage is.. together with how much blogging earns her, but how much does she have to spend to keep it up?!

iow86 · 26/03/2018 21:15

I like Welcometothelifewiththepownalls. She has an incredibly hair belly though

Fruitbowl2 · 26/03/2018 21:19

BoredYa totally agree with that re age - that's why I wonder why MP and MOFOD's parents haven't told them to wise up. I'm surprised that people in their (I'm guessing) 60s are not horrified that their kids are sharing so much. Instead the Pukkas are all in on it and I noticed recently MOFOD's parents wading in on the comments section.

PavlovaPrincess · 26/03/2018 21:21

The thing with the THTMM is that instead of acknowledging how lucky she's been having help to purchase the house, she's congratulating herself on what she's 'achieved' 🙄

It'd be like me winning the lottery, and doing a piece in the paper about how hard I worked to make all that money.

3asAbird · 26/03/2018 21:21

Lyndasnellsfeet- yes agree all the London yummy mummisies much more pro breastfeeding its the regional vloggers and mostly channel mums who predominatly not all but majority bottle feed.
It becomes obvious if you watch their you tube too with their baby must have videos.
I'm firm believer in choice.
I have mix fed and breastfed.
I like Charlotte Louise taylor she seems very down to earth hut one of her Insta posts lately about her choice to give up portrayed breastfeeding in such a negative light

Like I don't have time spend with other kids
That i feel like a cow pumping that it's hard work.

Don't get me wrong she had her reasons giving up baby has tough tie and slow to feed just as 1st time mum reading this it really might put some off.

I'm a trained peer supporter.
I could give some tips if she asked for help but i dared jot to as anyone who did try got atfacked for being insensitive and not respecting her decision.

Stellastartsitall · 26/03/2018 21:25

I have a feeling that instamums must be having a sneaky read through here..... Come on ladies chime in. Grin

WipsGlitter · 26/03/2018 21:26

So THTMM was sold the house for £50k? Why?? And yes to the faux posh voice and the Farrah Fawcett hair. The nose piercing isn't very posh though!

I like the ultimate girl gang. Three under what - 2? That must be tough!! I take it she has a rich city husband as well? Although her house is very average.

Badmotherpukka · 26/03/2018 21:26

@Fruitbowl2 my parents just wanted to support me, I suppose. I didn’t make them become part of what I do, they thought it would be funny for ‘old fogeys’ to ‘have a go’. But we have had discussions about ‘sharenting’ and online child safety since and are making changes.

Chimchar · 26/03/2018 21:29

You know Facebook own it, Chimchar?

Bloody hell! ANOTHER thing I didn't know! I left Facebook about 10 years ago. Confused

Newtothismumthing · 26/03/2018 21:31

I like @hannahgalr @blossomingbirds @buntyliving and @brickdustandglitter they seem a little more grounded

They did all get taken to Cornwall by joules the other week though but I wouldn't say no if I got asked

Unfollowed the 'big' names. Would buy a magazine if I wanted to see ads and fall into an already pretty low pile of self esteem

Fruitbowl2 · 26/03/2018 21:31

I'm sure you didn't/couldn't make them MP, I'm just surprised they agreed!

IsThisAWindUp · 26/03/2018 21:32

Facebook also own WhatsApp, just to really mess with your head 😜

Badmotherpukka · 26/03/2018 21:33

@Stellastartsitall One of the things that isn’t seen here (because it’s impossible) is the direct message stuff. Feathering the empty nest gets (and responds to) hundreds of messages a day about baby loss. When I was in the middle of the Hello Star Mums shit show, I was answering hundreds of understandably angry people throughout. It’s not to say we are in any way brave/warriors/fierce etc. Just what you see on the grid is the half of it often.

Stellastartsitall · 26/03/2018 21:34

Seasonal tales has a really sweet profile. Some lovely photography.

Badmotherpukka · 26/03/2018 21:36

@Fruitbowl2 me too. I mean ‘Sister Pukka’ is a stretch. On reflection it is pretty cringe but she was thinking of adopting with her girlfriend and thought it was worth a ‘go’ to help anyone in the same position. But as it stands she couldn’t be arsed to write anything, found it all a tad awkward so it’s photos of her girlfriend and dog.

Stellastartsitall · 26/03/2018 21:38

@badmotherpukka. I certainly noticed how much time you put it during that storm. I really felt for you. And honestly I'm glad to see you back on top. I hope that break was good. I'd love to cone down to one of your rallies for flex appeal. I'm a brown skinned person short plump person so not your usual demographic. Smile

Plasticgold · 26/03/2018 21:41

BMP I think you're a bit different, I know I can see WHY you're doing it, your flex appeal is great and is raising the profile for equality. Plus you're actually funny.

Stellastartsitall · 26/03/2018 21:41

Ah too many typos!
