I know ianbu. Although maybe slightly U as I know these type of threads have been done to death.

Ive just been on Facebook for the first time in ages and the first two words I see are 'hot choccy'. I can't stand it.

That is all.

YerAuntFanny · 21/03/2018 15:10

Urgh, I hate cutesy words! Could be worse though...

Making the most of the hollibobs, cheeky hot choccy with the kiddiwinks. #instamum #blessed #cheekychoccy #cantgoforashitewithoutpostingapictureofit

No, no, no!!! FUCK OFF

CaffeineAndCrochet · 21/03/2018 15:11

My friend keeps inviting me out for 'drinkies'.

ThisIsTheFirstStep · 21/03/2018 15:13

Bits especially picky bits as in ‘I’ll just put some picky bits out for tea’, makes me vom.

HarrietKettle · 21/03/2018 15:14

Reminds me of a uni coursemate who would invite us for nightcappies or 'sups'. Ugh.

VladmirsPoutine · 21/03/2018 15:14

These sorts of terms make me physically recoil. I was coming on here to tell you that YABU to use such a term, but on reflection you're a decent human being. Crack on.

People that use that term also use terms such as 'hubby' and #makingmemories

sexnotgender · 21/03/2018 15:16

I've found my peeps!

Can't believe you are judging her choice of hot choccy for her drinky winky. I had a hot choccy with a choccy biccie earlier.

ShowOfHands · 21/03/2018 15:16

Eugh picky bits. For those days when you can't throw together spag bol with fresh toms and jacket pots.

Nauseating fuckers.

HarrietKettle · 21/03/2018 15:17

Also hate cherry toms! You don't say pots for potatoes so WHY

Firstimefreaked · 21/03/2018 15:17

Errgh can smellies join this list =perfume 😬 In defiance I now call my cats poops smellies

HarrietKettle · 21/03/2018 15:18

Or do you?! Grin

sexnotgender · 21/03/2018 15:19

Jacket pots is definitely something I've seen.

amymel2016 · 21/03/2018 15:19

I love threads like this! These are my most hated in once sentence 'Gorg hubby has just made me a hot choccy...nom nom nom'

Envy makes me want to rip my face off

Zaphodsotherhead · 21/03/2018 15:20

'Hubby' is vile but, imo, 'hubster' is worse...

constantlyseekinghappiness · 21/03/2018 15:21

POSH hot choccy

ThisIsTheFirstStep · 21/03/2018 15:24

Also ‘the boyfriend’ or ‘the husband’ - both awful.

dontticklethetoad · 21/03/2018 15:24

Gtfo my thread the lot of you Grin

So glad I've found some like-minded people who also deplore this babyish type of talking. For some reason it makes me feel really embarrassed when I hear people talk like this, even though I'm not taking part.

Hubby, kiddies, drinkies, choccies, smellies - just NO. Is it just women who do this? Does anyone know men who use this infantile language?

Greenglassteacup · 21/03/2018 15:25

The worst one is bubs / bub / bubba.
Makes me want to vomit

Skiiltan · 21/03/2018 15:26

I really hate infantilising words blush really annoys me. Biccie, choccy, sweetie, nana, aghhh I can't bear it.

Oh thank you. I thought I'd never find anyone who agrees with me on this.

Crimble, tomoz, sarnie... They drive me berserk!

KittenBeast · 21/03/2018 15:26

Nom and yum
Yorkie puds
Roast pots

BoldKitties · 21/03/2018 15:32

Hot choccy is grim. See also veg, pud, choc, toms and pots. They all make me shudder.

Though I have been known to say sambo Blush. The shame!

Hubby is nauseating, but even worse, I know someone who constantly refers to her partner as her 'bubba'. Hideous.

sexnotgender · 21/03/2018 15:33

Can I add sammich to the list of shit words? I blocked someone on Facebook for that atrocity.
