I know ianbu. Although maybe slightly U as I know these type of threads have been done to death.

Ive just been on Facebook for the first time in ages and the first two words I see are 'hot choccy'. I can't stand it.

That is all.

And people find 'veg' irritating? Seriously?!

Goodmum1234 · 03/04/2018 20:19

A family member of mine eats out at different pubs every other day and photographs the food. He then adds ‘dishlish’ to every photograph!!! I want to fucking scream.

But 😂😂😂At #mumofboys #livibg the dream.

I once said ‘living the dream’ to myself when our water was cut off for ten days and I had to fish excrement ‘poopoos’ 😁out of the toilet to throw in the bin.

Ps. Loving this thread, haven’t had a laugh like this in ages

Prepping, as in “just prepping dins”.
Urgh!

Bit off topic but my mum says toona instead of choona (tuna). It’s so unbearable that I have to make her say it the right way to cancel it out. Confused

I actually love all the Aussie contractions. Seems totally different and not twee.

Loathe “I’ve found my people!”. Ahem.

elspinsdemariscal · 03/04/2018 21:43

Full-fat Coke I know it's common parlance but yes, this one annoys me too.

My son says Youtoob instead of pronouncing it YouChoob like folk in my area do (as an aside we used to be amused by that here because choob/tube was an insult here) thanks to watching various YouToobers. Irritates me no end.

MollyHuaCha · 05/04/2018 12:37

Choona? I say tyoona...

OmniCompetent · 07/04/2018 23:26

Giving the definite article to a romantic partner - i.e. The Husband/Hubby, The Mrs... reminds me of when I was a teenager and Just Seventeen was riddled with references to The Boyf.

See also AA Gill referring to his wife as The Blonde.

Child of the family has been taught to say 'dip dip' instead of ketchup. My DS (4yrs) lost it and in a clear irritated voice said 'it's called ketchup, not dip dip'.

dontticklethetoad · 08/04/2018 01:44

Toona? No. Absolutely not.
