This is a quote of Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon has a number of quotes when Read through the lens of Trump are eerily prescient. Napoleon wasn’t of the same political bent as Trump necessarily, and he was certainly more cerebral, but the lust for power is the same.

Oh, yes. That's right.

Just watching the season finale of Nailed It! on Netflix - where amateur home bakers get set improbably difficult cakes to recreate. The very tricky cake this week is

A Trump bust cake.

I’m really excited to see how bad the finished cakes are. They just played a link they recorded referring to The Donald as “former president” in case he’s already fired by the time it screens. Grin

Has something happened? (Wall St is looking a bit sickly.)

boatyardblues · 27/03/2018 20:21

Here’s my favourite (professional cake on left, contestant cake on right).

The right hand one looks more like Jefferson Beauregard to me! Grin

Love the cake!

This is amusing... it's a Craiglist ad Grin

This stunning figure captures just how fired up Democrats are in 2018: The Democratic primary in Illinois’ 6th District last week drew 63,000 voters. In 2014, it drew 8,600 voters.

That’s a nearly 8-fold increase in Dem turnout.

Seeing as you enjoyed the cake so much, here are the other attempts. (With apologies to any Nailed It! fans who may be lurking.)

Sanders says a citizenship question has been on every census since 1965.

Citizenship hasn’t been questioned on a decennial census since 1950:

Speaking of TV shows, you should all be watching Homeland. They go to spy camp with the CIA, you know?
And the old vs new breed of Russian spies from the last episode is, let's say, relevant. No defenestrations or poisonings, though.

I lost the plot of Homeland somewhere during the last season but I will take a look. Smile

Oh yes, yes he did: the evolutionary biologist named the moth with the white-blonde tresses and small genitalia, after Donald Trump.

Lweji · 27/03/2018 23:13

That moth was named about a year ago. Why is it on the news now'?

lionheart · 27/03/2018 23:21

I don't know. I feel a bit sorry for the moth.
