This is a quote of Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon has a number of quotes when Read through the lens of Trump are eerily prescient. Napoleon wasn’t of the same political bent as Trump necessarily, and he was certainly more cerebral, but the lust for power is the same.

A CNN Money piece.

US needs to borrow almost $3 billion this week

cozietoesie · 27/03/2018 14:46

Sorry. That should be 'almost $300 billion this week'.

(I think my device quietly had hysterics and refused to accept the proper figure! Grin)

cozietoesie · 27/03/2018 14:55

And guess who holds most of it? That should make for 'interesting' negotiations. Grin

Christopher Steele's Other Report: A Murder In Washington

The author of the famous Trump dossier provided a secret report to the FBI asserting that RT founder Mikhail Lesin was bludgeoned to death by thugs hired by an oligarch close to Putin. Three other sources independently told the FBI the same basic story, contradicting the government’s finding that Lesin’s death was accidental.

A follow up to WH briefing today... WH spox Raj Shah said “the United States has issued sanctions on key Russian oligarchs in response to the meddling in the 2016 election.” That’s not really accurate. An oligarch was sanctioned but not Putin’s cronies

An update on this... Our @brikeilarcnn just asked NSC spox Michael Anton about Shah's comments. Anton conceded the admin has not yet sanctioned key Russian oligarchs as was stated by Shah at Monday's briefing.

I think I posted this upthread so I need to also highlight the correction/retraction.

theintercept.com/2018/03/26/facebook-data-ice-immigration/

Correction: March 26, 2018

'Due to errors by editor Ryan Grim, this story and its headline originally reported that the investigation referred to in the ICE emails targeted an immigrant. The story as filed did not include those errors, or any others. The documents reported on in the story do not establish that the target of the investigation was an immigrant or that the individual was being pursued for immigration violations. The target of the investigation was, according to the documents, based in the New York metropolitan area, while several of the ICE agents on the emails were based in New Mexico. Additionally, this story has been updated to include a comment from Facebook.'

INDIANAPOLIS — A new state law directs Indiana doctors and hospitals to investigate every time a woman seeks treatment for a physical or psychological condition whether she previously had an abortion that is in any way connected to the ailment.

If so, the care provider is obligated starting July 1 to submit a detailed "abortion complications" report to the State Department of Health, or risk being charged with a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine, for each instance of noncompliance.

It's a shame that whole thing about the Great Wall of China being visible from Space is a myth, because otherwise he could get Space Force to mange and pay for his wall.

I've been away in the field, and have just returned home, but Colbert sings f***g Sinatra:

On a side note, at some point I almost thought Russia had invaded by the sounds of explosions and the number of Air Force jets in the air.
That's how crazy things are.

Many many moons ago, I wS sitting by a window at work and I looked up (and out) and saw this weird sky colour over London - somewhere between purple and pink, but more of a purple. I thought to myself 'Sheez, they've gone and done it somewhere close by' - so I know how you felt, Lweji.

(I never did find out why the shy was a strange colour.)
