This is a quote of Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon has a number of quotes when Read through the lens of Trump are eerily prescient. Napoleon wasn’t of the same political bent as Trump necessarily, and he was certainly more cerebral, but the lust for power is the same.

Bluesky - I am another FB refuenik. I thought the way it harvested all of your contacts was grabby and intrusive and I had major privacy concerns. Turns out my paranoia was justified, not that I take any pleasure from this.

Renato Mariotti - whose Twitter threads on legal issues are v. Informative - is one of the candidates. Election was yesterday but I don't think results are called yet.

Donald Trump’s other attorney general problem
In Illinois, the race for the state’s top legal job has turned into a Democratic primal scream against the president.

That's a shame.

Oh pooh! I missed that. Hey ho! Onwards and upwards.

mackerella just seen your slur Grin

This is a bit more tea-leaves reading than reasoned, insightful analysis but I think this flurry of tweets isn't to do with CA but might be concerning other shoes that may be about to drop (I have no idea what shoes). This is pure speculation and very Menshy but it feels similar to how he's tweeted in the past before new information has become public. Of course, it could be any other number of things!

@realDonaldTrump
“Special Council is told to find crimes, whether a crime exists or not. I was opposed to the selection of Mueller to be Special Council. I am still opposed to it. I think President Trump was right when he said there never should have been a Special Council appointed because.....
...there was no probable cause for believing that there was any crime, collusion or otherwise, or obstruction of justice!” So stated by Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz.

[he also deleted the first one because it had counsel spelt differently (from what I gather from twitter comments - didn't see it myself) but the second one didn't fare much better]

Wow. If only @JulianAssange was there, we'd have the trifecta. Cambridge Analytica CEO with star of Robert Mueller's indictments and regular letter writer to @guardian, Russian Ambassador Yakavenko.

Here’s a Photo of Cambridge Analytica’s CEO With the Russian Ambassador to the UK

One of these men boasted of blackmailing politicians. The other is Putin’s representative

If you need a good reason to #DeleteFacebook then how about this? Most of us don't need to buy popularity, but @Conservatives actually paid to have their Facebook posts liked. Over £100,000 every month.

Apparently, the weather in Washington DC is unkind today.

President had two things on schedule today - a briefing at 11:30 and a meeting w/financial executives at 2:00. Both cancelled because of weather

blimey Pain. Hope my friends don't get any ideas about payments for likes!

Trump has had a lot of trouble with his spellings today. wether for whether and repeated a tweet with the wrong sort of counsel/council.

Don't forget that really quite recently, this happened:

Apparently, the weather in Washington DC is unkind today.

It seems snow is predicted. Trump and fellow Pence will be happy if DC turns all white.

A senior White House official re the WaPo "DO NOT CONGRATULATE" story tells me: “If this story is accurate, that means someone leaked the President’s briefing papers. Leaking such information is a fireable offense and likely illegal.”

cozietoesie · 21/03/2018 14:37

That Bell piece left me very shaken.

You'll all have noticed this bit in it.

"– Is there even a minimal chance that the victims of the poisoning might recover?

– If Skripal and his daughter received a lethal dose of B-1976, C-1976, or D-1980, then, most likely, they will suffer the same fate as earlier victims. There is no antidote to these agents. I can say with nearly 100% certainty that if Skripal and his daughter are taken off of life support, they will die, although they are now only technically alive."

lionheart · 21/03/2018 14:47

Yes, it's horrendous and brazen and endangered so many people apart from the actual targets. I suppose that was also deliberate.

Special counsel's office is asking for an extension to respond to Paul Manafort's motions to dismiss the indictment against him in DC, saying they're working on getting ready for trial and also need to coordinate with DOJ:

Cambridge Analytica Looked to Pounce on Russian Hacks, Email Shows

The email came two days after Trump ‘joked’ about asking Russia to find Hillary Clinton’s emails.

James Comey's (sigh, bats eyelashes) book is the #1 bestseller on Amazon.....and it hasn't even been released yet.

I see he has two appearances scheduled so far. With Stephanopoulos on 15 Apr and with Maddow 19 Apr. I really don't think there are going to be any 'bombshells' per se, I don't think Comey's the type to hide something then come out with 'I have TAPES!!!' to promote a book. I think what we are going to see is simply verification of what we all already know. That Scrotus is an egomaniacal, deranged, narcissistic autocrat.

In other words, Trump will likely need to sit for a deposition, during which he will no doubt be asked about all his alleged affairs — or will be compelled to settle the case for a pretty penny, given Zervos’s exceptional leverage.
