This is a quote of Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon has a number of quotes when Read through the lens of Trump are eerily prescient. Napoleon wasn’t of the same political bent as Trump necessarily, and he was certainly more cerebral, but the lust for power is the same.

Now we need to know what role #CambridgeAnalytica had in the #Leave campaign & whether similar illegal and underhand tactics were used to manipulate voters in the #EUReferendum

WASHINGTON — Under fire for his connections to a voter-targeting firm that used data taken from 50 million Facebook users without their knowledge, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz insisted Tuesday that he was unaware of any impropriety.

Just talking to a relative who was discussing software they have in their sales department that notifies them when the emails they send to potential clients are read by the potential clients. which allows them to call them soon after the email has been read. She said that the clients didn't know that the sales team knew when the emails had been read and often were like "That's so weird - I just read your email and now you've called!"

I'm Shock that I can't pretend to not have read emails any more because they might know! She also said they can work out patterns of when people forward emails on/read them and so they can tailor when they send their emails. I am aghast.

NEW: DOJ is briefing the House Judiciary Committee today on the underlying intelligence behind the NUNES memo.

Members won't see the actual docs but will get to ask questions of DOJ officials. Dems have long sought more info on the material.

Mm, that new company has two officers in Hong Kong. Will be interesting to watch where that goes next.

Pain That ability that sales/marketing have to know when you've read emails may actually be coming under threat from the ePrivacy Regulation, which is still in draft format.

That would be the 'ranking member', I think? It looks as if Mr Nunes is keeping a low profile.

Wow, the Senate Intelligence Committee just came out in favor of all U.S. voting machines having an auditable paper trail. And they made clear that the U.S. must make clear that the attack on our election in 2016 was a hostile act. This is shockingly productive.

The House GOP ignored best practices in its investigation of Russian interference. As a former prosecutor of complex crimes, let me count the ways.

When I hear the name Stormy Daniels, and that’s a lot lately, I have the same vision inside my head. It’s Donald Trump, right before the presidential debate with Hillary Clinton in St Louis on 9 October 2016. At the time, I, along with just about everyone I knew, mistakenly thought Trump was finished because the notorious Access Hollywood tape had just come out.

theintercept.com/2018/03/20/larry-krasner-philadelphia-da/

WHEN LIFELONG CIVIL rights attorney Larry Krasner was elected in a landslide this past November to become the new district attorney of Philadelphia, to say that his fans and supporters had high hopes would be an understatement. Anything less than a complete revolution that tore down the bigoted and patently unfair systems of mass incarceration would be a severe disappointment.

cozietoesie · 20/03/2018 23:02

If you read the article.....

"So far, having been office less than three months, he has exceeded expectations. He’s doing something I’ve never quite seen before in present-day politics: Larry Krasner’s keeping his word — and it’s a sight to behold."
