To be really annoyed and disappointed with Dh views on this

Dh just said to me that the gender pay gap doesn't really exist. He said that women choose lower paid jobs because it suits them Hmm. Also that women choose to slow down their careers because of children and that women have less assertive personalities meaning that they are generally suited to less senior roles.

I am fuming with him. I cannot believe that he thinks this Angry. AIBU to think that we are all different and that you can't generalise in this way! I am not one who generally holds very strong feminist views but this has really got to me.

Umm i thought I was on the side of buck the fuck up and tell him how it is?! How else would you interpret my advice? That is what I mean by the wife fixing it Grin. My dh has organised all of our holidays for the past year , because I said that was the only way he was coming on them. and I say mil not fil because she lives to be needed. Fil would have had a fight on his hands to make the kids take some responsibility for themselves, she so actively took it off them. Fil was not the one asking to do her adult children’s washing. I don’t argue with him for twenty minutes about whether I can carry my own handbag because she thinks it might help if she carried it... I could go on and on. It’s exhausting. I can see why her own children got pretty used to having things done for them!!
