To ask , what jobs did your parents have?

My mum is a carer

And my dad works in a garage.

My mum is an accounts clerk
My Dad was an Electrical engineer

Mum was a credit controller. She wanted to teach but couldn't find childcare to allow her to study when I was a baby. She would have been brilliant at it and our lives would have been much easier.

My dad did loads of different jobs in his life. Driving (everything from lorries to taxis), mechanic, chef, semi pro gambler, selling knock off stuff out of a suitcase in Oxford Street. He was very bright and was once told he was the only lorry driver the depot had seen who read Russian authors rather than the Sun!

Mum is a civil servant. Started when she left school at 16 and has worked her way up. She's now holding out for either retirement or a redundancy package.

Dad would tell you he's a mechanic/electrician/IT specialist. These may be his jobs over the years but his income has always come from some kind of criminal activity or another from drug dealing to fraud. We have been NC for many years.

Both teachers for years(state schools), then dad moved to private school teaching and mum to the civil service.

Listening to them talk about work put me right off ever being a teacher...

My Mum was a Banker and my Dad was a Travel Agent/Tour Operator then a Taxi Driver up until the year he died

Dad was a manager building diggers. Mum was a barrister then retrained as a psychotherapist.

Dad was a computer programmer.
Mum has done loads from sales repping to pharmaceutical preparation. Now works in the NHS in quality.

Dad was an RAF officer, turned bank clerk.
Mum was a nurse.

My dad is a Doctor of Physics and a publisher
My mum died years ago, but she never worked a day in her life.

My father was a labourer at Qualcast, my mother was a dr's receptionist.
