  • this weather. Sick of snow now.
  • people playing and singing to terrible music at 8am on a Sunday morning
  • my upstairs neighbours who seem to have lost the ability to close a door without slamming it
-lecturers who don't bother answering emails and who have left half my group waiting nearly 3 months for an assignment back with still no sign of it coming and no communication about it
  • the cold/sinus bug I'm brewing

Fibromyalgia can sod right off.
Whatever it is that makes me wake up at around 5am every morning.
My laptop and phone which keep complaining about being low on memory.
Allergies.
My 3 year olds flowing rivers of snot.

Work colleagues who are nasty, lazy humans but are loved by management. Every time a rumour goes around that someone is leaving, I hope it's those.
  • The gossip in work. No one should know about other peoples health. Yet we do. And some of it is coming direct from management.

So I just actually counted and it's been 11 weeks since I handed my assignment in. Ugh fuck that. (they are extenuating circumstances but the lack of communication is really frustrating.)

Tenants here where we live who are upset because they sent me a text this morning with a few things wrong with their unit demanding they be fixed right away. I did the work myself today while they were away for the weekend. They replied to my message telling them I'd done everything telling me they expected me to get a contractor in to do all the worst especially for replacement of the smoke detector!

By law we are required to install window guards and yes I'm hiring a contractor for that because I don't have time to do it myself next weekend. The wife is pregnant with their first and due in May. Apparently this can't wait until March 24th. DH kindly reminded him that none of our kids were moving for the first six months!!!! If the baby is born on or even before March 24th they will be in hospital for a good few weeks.

I run 25 properties from 3000 miles away with no issues. The tenant 4 blocks from me is a royal PITA. I was going to get them a nice gift after the baby is born. Now they get nowt.

Seriously though, I’m a lecturer. If it’s taking 3 months to get an assignment back your tutor isn’t doing his or her job. You should have an indication of when you can expect it (we have a 28 day deadline but usually turn it round in 2-3 weeks) on your Assignment Brief. Email them once more, give them a week, and if you don’t have a grade by then copy in their head of department.
