To think eating a whole tub of ice cream isn’t normal?

I don’t like the word normal but I couldn’t think of anything else.

Now I can have my piggy moments and binge.

We were talking about takeaways and a friend said she could easily and does eat an entire tub of ice cream with her dominos pizza.

Do other people do this?

No it’s not normal. I’ve never done it and wouldn’t want to. I love B&Js ice cream but it’s very rich normally.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 02/03/2018 21:14

Grin RainbowGlitterFairy, you have a way with words!

LaurenBrye · 02/03/2018 21:15

than live a miserable joyless but exclusively healthy lifestyle.

This is s coment I used to accept but now I think it’s ridiculous. So eating healthy means you have a joyless life? So food is the only thing that creates happiness?

By the way ... no one eats healthy 100% of the time 24/7. HTH.

wysteriafloribunba · 02/03/2018 21:15

No, not normal.

Tistheseason17 · 02/03/2018 21:16

Er...yeah. Peanut butter cup.... Empowermint...

Clem7 · 02/03/2018 21:16

I’m a bit overweight and have a more than healthy appetite. I absolutely could physically do it, but would absolutely never do so!

TossDaily · 02/03/2018 21:16

I am very lucky. I have a hollow leg which is a designated ice-cream receptacle. A tub of B & J Phish Food just slips down there, bypassing my stomach completely - in fact it hardly touches the sides.

The other leg is my Wine Leg.

UrgentExitRequired · 02/03/2018 21:16

I could do this easily, in fact I am about to now!

Longdistance · 02/03/2018 21:17

Tbh, I couldn’t eat a whole tub of ice cream. No joke. I’ve a huge arse too.
My vice belongs to cheese and wine.

upsideup · 02/03/2018 21:19

The smugness coming from some people on this thread is overwhelming.

Do you mean from the people who seem to think its some kind of praise worthy achievement that they regularly eat a whole tub of icecream?
I would describe that as more worrying than overwhelming.

M5tothesouthwest · 02/03/2018 21:19

Christ no - it's not normal Confused. It's like a day's worth of calories and a week's worth of sugar in a single tub.

Navrat · 02/03/2018 21:20

I agree. It's far too big a portion.

SinglePringle · 02/03/2018 21:20

There’s no way I could; it’d be both gluttonous and nausea inducing for me. I’d make me feel fat n’all. And on top of pizza?! Christ, thinking about it makes me feel uncomfortably full.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 02/03/2018 21:24

A tub of Ben & Jerry's - absolutely. I'm no quitter.

But I haven't eaten it in years because I am a binge eater and having some would trigger me into more out of control eating for several days. Not something I'm keen on doing.

hotcrossbunsandtea · 02/03/2018 21:24

It's like a day's worth of calories and a week's worth of sugar in a single tub.

So? What does it matter if it's only an occasional thing?

QueenB14 · 02/03/2018 21:25

Should not have opened this thread I need ice cream now Blush

I have to say though I love a good pig out with friends in front of a film and would be mortified if any of them started this thread about what id eaten

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 02/03/2018 21:25

Nope. I couldn't eat a whole tub. Around 1/3 would be my absolute limit - I'd feel pretty sick if I ate more cream and sugar then that in one sitting!

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 02/03/2018 21:26

I’ve never actually done this, but I imagine I could manage it, if I was hungry enough. It would be quite strange to do it regularly though.

SilentBob · 02/03/2018 21:27

Me- no, not a snowball’s chance in hell.

Partner (male)- easily

Previous partner (female)- easily and often.

I’m not an ice cream fan.

Bluntness100 · 02/03/2018 21:30

Sure, I can do this. Not after a pizza but a tub of Ben and Jerry's is not s large volume of food, if you can eat the volume of s rosst dinner you can eat a tub of ice cream.

Lol at the person who has to share it with hubby and make it last three days as it's just so much. So two spoons each a night eh? And you're both stuffed. Sure you are. Next up how one chicken wing is just too much food.🤣

Time for how long you can make a chicken last feeding a family of,four.

Trumpton · 02/03/2018 21:30

Uh , I once bought a tub of B&J cookie dough and , using the lid as a makeshift spoon ,ate it all, in my car, in the supermarket car park. It were great lush !
Threw the empty carton in the rubbish bin and drove home . Happy belly, happy me !
Having said that I am not sure I could manage it after pizza !

IWouldLikeToKnow · 02/03/2018 21:33

I have on many occasions eaten a tub of ice cream alone. I love it and will definitely do it again. Not sure I could after pizza but would be willing to try. And no, I'm not overweight. But I do have a decent sized appetite. I know a whole tub of ice cream is too much for one person but that isn't going to stop me !!

Stoptherideiwannagetoff · 02/03/2018 21:34

Yep, perfectly normal... for a small tub of binge and jerrys. I ate a 2.5l catering tub in one go once long ago before my body decided lactose wasn't for me - mind you, I am a gutty gluttonous slovenly pigWink

Loonoon · 02/03/2018 21:34

I couldn't eat a whole Dominos pizza but could happily scoff a tub of Ben and Jerrys with a tub of double cream to pour over it.

SinglePringle · 02/03/2018 21:35

To be fair, a tub of ice cream probably lasts me at least a year.
