To think eating a whole tub of ice cream isn’t normal?

I don’t like the word normal but I couldn’t think of anything else.

Now I can have my piggy moments and binge.

We were talking about takeaways and a friend said she could easily and does eat an entire tub of ice cream with her dominos pizza.

Do other people do this?

Wow, a tub of Ben & Jerry's peanut butter icecream has 4700 calories! That is more than 2 whole days of calories for a woman.
So you could get your calories for a week by only eating 3 tubs of it.

No it doesn't, it has 320 calories per 100ml so 1600 per tub.

greed in all forms is deeply unpleasant.

I get that about eg financial greed, but what is it that bothers you so much about people eating more than they need to occasionally?

I just don't get it?

I just find gluttony really unpleasant, @puglife15.

I love food, I cook a lot, I shop around for the best ingredients - but the thought of someone eating in one go something that's meant to provide several portions turns my stomach.

I suppose in the same way that someone can enjoy a couple of drinks, but find drunkenness distasteful? It's the excess that's off-putting.

I couldn't eat a whole tub of ice cream. I could, however, do serious damage to a decent sized pizza and a nice side order of something equally cheese-filled. Horses for courses...

I do try to eat alright the rest of the time, and I am pretty active (not walking to the shops / hoovering active Grin ) so it all evens out okish.

We had ice cream yesterday. The 2 DC’s had two scoops, I had 3 which I thought was quite a lot. There was another portion in the tub for DH. I think eating a whole tub is obscene to honest. And I’m not skinny by any means.

I could definitely demolish a whole pint of ben&jerrys, though probably not after Dominos as I have a garlic bread and cookies with my pizza

No, it's not normal to me, nor is eating a whole pizza to myself either. Last time I bought a tub of haagen daz (or similar) was for Christmas dinner, and it served 4 (with a bit of chocolate log), that was fine, can't imagine wanting to eat any more. Those types of ice cream are pretty rich though.

I've tried it a couple of times but never get much past two thirds before I feel awful (then have to throw the rest away because it's melted)

I certainly couldn't do it after pizza. But I can eat quite a considerable amount of pizza. Especially for my tiny sub five foot frame.

I am veering between ROFL and 'WTF this can't be true' at those words. The ultimate pearl clutching, salts smelling tight bodice event. You would think we were discussing killing newborn rabbits here.

It’s funny. I really couldn’t care less if someone thinks I’m greedy for eating a whole tub. 😀
(Just like when someone was muttering something about the quantity of peas I was putting in the bag at the pick-your-own place... it’s something I’m paying for ffs not foraging.)

I have definitely done that before haha. And I wouldn't condemn another person for doing it either! I had a large pizza, chicken goujons, wedges, cookie dough, and then HD icecream tub! I wouldnt do it on the reg but I wouldnt care if someone else did. Could easily eat a whole block of cheese too!
I'm not overweight either

Haha love that I’ve been called jealous, frumpy and that I have chronic mental health issues because I said I think it’s unhealthy to eat a large dominoes pizza and a pint of ice cream in one go on a regular basis.
