To think eating a whole tub of ice cream isn’t normal?

LaurenBrye · 02/03/2018 20:12

I don’t like the word normal but I couldn’t think of anything else.

Now I can have my piggy moments and binge.

We were talking about takeaways and a friend said she could easily and does eat an entire tub of ice cream with her dominos pizza.

Do other people do this?

Biologymatters - it's not greedy, it's delicious 😍❤

Purplerain101 · 03/03/2018 10:40

@smash jealous?! Haha of what? I’ve never said I don’t eat these things. If you read my first post I said if I was having a meal like that then i’d Indulge but I wouldn’t eat the whole tub in one go

smashyourglasses · 03/03/2018 10:46

Right, so that's what you do.

Why are you passing negative comment on what size portions others like to eat?

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 03/03/2018 10:46

I'd purge afterwards because I'd be afraid of the calories but that doesnt affect the fact that my stomach could hold it.

This is far more abnormal than eating the tub in the first place, although not as fucking strange as eeking a tub out all week and saving the chunky bits for the following week.

upsideup · 03/03/2018 10:52

Lol some folks really find the thought of someone eating a tub of ice cream deeply offensive.

I dont find it offensive that people are doing it, I find it worrying that people are so proud that they are doing it regularly and are saying it completely normal. The thought of children being raised in an enviroment where eating a full pizza and then a whole tub of icecream is normal or funny is worrying to me, they seem so unaware and unbothered by how unhealthy it is and the damage they are doing physically and mentally.

Purplerain101 · 03/03/2018 10:53

@smash so I’m not allowed to have an opinion? Your opinion is that I’m jealous. My opinion is that people who say they eat a whole tub of ice cream and large dominoes pizza to themselves on a regular basis are unhealthy. The whole point of this thread was the OP wanting to know people’s opinions on whether they think it’s ok or not

puglife15 · 03/03/2018 11:01

But people dont need "educating" on this thread and that's why lots of comments come across as sanctimonious.

Do you honestly think anyone on this thread thinks it's healthy or good for them or something they should get their kids doing? Or doesn't know it's high in calories and fat?

Seeing a lot of people comment about how utterly horrified by it they are won't get anyone to stop. And demonstrates a complete lack of understanding and empathy into why some people eat the way they do too.

smashyourglasses · 03/03/2018 11:01

On the other hand, you've no clue as to the luck with metabolism, constitution and lifestyle of others, or how physically demanding our jobs may be. So you're just guessing about how unhealthy you wish we all were.

Purplerain101 · 03/03/2018 11:10

@smash ok, guess I was wrong then that eating 3500 calories of saturated fat in one go is unhealthy if you have a physically demanding job and a good metabolism. My bad for thinking a regular diet like that plays absolutely no part in lots of illnesses

Purplerain101 · 03/03/2018 11:12

*even if you have

smashyourglasses · 03/03/2018 11:14

I eat double portions of dinner, big dessert afterwards, chocolate throughout the day on top of breakfast and lunch. Everyday is treat day for me. And plenty of others do the same. Some of us are fit as a fiddle.

Don't sweat it Smile

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 03/03/2018 11:17

I think some of you are missing the point that, regardless of how slim/fit/healthy you are, greed is still an extraordinarily unattractive trait.

smashyourglasses · 03/03/2018 11:19

But so is jealousy though. Having said that, never had negative comments from men concerning my appetite Grin

Purplerain101 · 03/03/2018 11:19

@smash cool story. Hope you can say the same about being “as fit as a fiddle” further down the line

Purplerain101 · 03/03/2018 11:22

@smash what do you mean by jealousy? Jealous of what exactly?! That you eat junk all day long?

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 03/03/2018 11:23

I cannot imagine what you might possibly have that I would be jealous of smash.

smashyourglasses · 03/03/2018 11:31

Lmao..Why are you so concerned with what others eat and their health?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hobbies

Greebo.. oh I can 😉😊

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 03/03/2018 11:32

Do tell, then.

smashyourglasses · 03/03/2018 11:34

If you can't bear my good fortune with metabolism, you won't cope with hearing the rest of it ☺

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 03/03/2018 11:35

Interesting....

Purplerain101 · 03/03/2018 11:37

@smash you clearly have an issue with people wanting to be healthy since you are repeatedly calling us jealous of your diet. This forum is for people to debate certain topics. Do you want a pat on the back for over eating every day seeing as we aren’t allowed to challenge anything you are saying?

smashyourglasses · 03/03/2018 11:40

No pat on the back? It feels like i'm gloating to you, because of your issue with food. Notice there's been many threads with all kinds of food/weight issues, never felt thw need to weigh in and tried to tell people what i think they should be doing 😚

BiologyMatters · 03/03/2018 11:43

Why would anyone be jealous of the fact that you have no willpower to stop yourself eating double portions of shite all day every day?

It makes no difference to me what anyone eats but it's still greedy to eat a whole tub of ice cream for no reason. Greedy isn't a good thing.

It's exactly the same as people who celebrate the "wine o clock" culture. Normalizing a culture where it's ok to eat and drink alcohol to excess for no reason on a regular basis then we all wonder why as a nation everyone is so fat.

Purplerain101 · 03/03/2018 11:43

Eh? It feels like you are gloating because you are calling me jealous! Not because I have an issue with food. I eat a very balanced diet and enjoy things like chocolate, pizza and ice cream too. I just don’t sit and binge on them everyday. I used to as I had chronic anxiety and it just made everything ten times worse. The OP was asking people
Whether they think it’s normal or not to eat so much food in one go. Didn’t realise only those who think it’s ok were allowed to post their opinions on here.

smashyourglasses · 03/03/2018 11:52

I don't binge.. i simply eat 😄 It takes a lot of food for me to feel full. I am very slim and am never able to gain weight. So I enjoy making the most of it. Please just try to accept that other people are different from you.
