To ask how you met your DP?

My lovely friend is very down. She’s been Internet dating for a few months and now believes all men are, as Bridget Jones once said: alcoholics, workaholics, commitment phobics, peeping toms, megalomaniacs, emotional fuckwits or perverts.

She’s deleted all her accounts and is now looking for real life alternatives.

Could I ask you clever lot how you met and wooed your partners please?

Long term ex was a friend of a friend, and then I had various shorter term relationships either with people I met online dating, or through friends, or in one case literally fell over him in the supermarket.

But DP is the best of any by far, and I was so close to cancelling the date as it was a gorgeous sunny day and I wanted to sit in the garden drinking wine with my sister rather than go and meet some randomer who would probably turn out to be a weirdo like all the others. Luckily I went and the rest is history.

I hired him to help me move out of the house I shared with my ex. He tol me I paid him too much so he would have to take me out for a drink!

I LOVE all these stories! I met both my husbands when I did online dating, so I have no lovely fateful story to add. But I love these. :)

We were always good friends and became a couple in our teens
