Instead of starting another thread along the lines of "what colour is red?"

ah I see. Or could be I perceive a marketplace as having a slightly collegiate atmosphere - as in we are all in the place looking for the similar sorts of things, with our shopping bags

Surely that is what mumsnet is about ? I post Q's on mumsnet sometimes that I know I could fidn elsewhere but it's quicker to ask on MN if I am in a rush and lazy (which I am the latter)

AnneJones · 04/05/2007 09:22

indiemummy · 04/05/2007 09:25

And Lesley. Sometimes you don't just want the facts, you want to hear from someone who has experience and get some differing opinions. Googling can be scary!

Sometimes people dont know what to look for on google - I once started a thread asking what Morgan Freeman said in Shawshank so that I could use it an a eulogy - in google I would have had to trawl through the whole script whereas some lovely person whose name escapes me found it on here in 30 seconds.

Boco · 04/05/2007 10:32

who had clear shit?

beansprout · 04/05/2007 12:19

My tongue was in my cheek a bit btw, there was a in the original post. That said, the "do you like peas?" type threads do make me wonder sometimes....
