To cringe when people just x at the end of their post?

I’m from a place in the UK where it’s common to put x at the end of a text, card etc

But even I find it really cringey when a poster puts an x at the end of their post .., I’m seeing it more and more on here.

OP posts:
UtterlyRainbowed · 25/02/2018 02:32

I sometimes do it... especially if I'm on my phone and can see my notifications at the top of my screen. I'm neither uneducated or tacky just sometimes forget some people are overly sensitive about the letter x.

ConfusedWife1234 · 25/02/2018 02:33

What does it mean btw. Three kisses?

BetterEatCheese · 25/02/2018 06:38

I do it by accident occasionally as I pop them on everywhere else.

IAmLucy · 25/02/2018 07:00

I know. All the 'we are here for you' etc Trying to show some kindness or affection towards another human being. How fucking common and cringe for us all

Champagneandthestars · 25/02/2018 07:35

MermaidTailUnicornHorn - your username lacks wit, makes you sound immature and frankly makes ME cringe. The unicorn train left the station a long time ago - don't be so basic X

sportyfool · 25/02/2018 08:10

You should really get out more 🙄🙄🙄

SpringEquinox · 25/02/2018 08:14

I've done it by accident because it's how I end my messages to friends IRL - if I see one on here I assume that a poster has made the same slip as me and would be entirely unbothered. X

SteamyBeignets · 25/02/2018 08:20

YANBU Op. I'm not from the UK and my observation is it is mostly people from the lower background who do it. It makes me cringe too.

Sandyfeet101 · 25/02/2018 08:50

I don’t think it has anything to do with education levels, but so what if some posters are - shock horror - uneducated?? Are they not allowed to post?

LemonSqueezy0 · 25/02/2018 08:52

Why judge someone on something as basic as whether they X or xxxx, when actually there are so many other things we could be judging them on?!

We could do one subject per day, with weekends off, until we've suitably sorted and labelled everyone according to our own arbitrary system. Wink X

Mc180768 · 25/02/2018 09:09

So six pages of posters telling op she must be sad, judgey, get a life, etc.

I don't use kisses as a form of communication. As for the word 'hun'? Can't stand the use of it in amy context.

Namechangequickie · 25/02/2018 09:15

Poor Amy never gets any love.

JonnyUtah · 25/02/2018 09:26

Shock get fucked you fucking snob

Topseyt · 25/02/2018 09:29

By the way, I should have said that I agree with the OP that it is cringe worthy, just not that it means uneducated.

lynmilne65 · 25/02/2018 09:35

hun, frightful expression, how old are you ????

LilliesAndRosess · 25/02/2018 09:38

Unicorns aren't real. Are you 'uneducated' too?

MiddleClassProblem · 25/02/2018 09:40

LilliesAndRosess but mermaids are?

not that I understand the point of the being real, did op say the were? I’m not in her side as I’m an x user

LilliesAndRosess · 25/02/2018 09:42

@MiddleClassProblem fair point 😂😂 maybe I'm uneducated too!! Hahahaha

Mookie81 · 25/02/2018 09:43

Can we call people cunts on here? Serious question I'm quite new on here and my fingers have been itching today! Steaming and the OP...

Legwarmersareohsoeighties · 25/02/2018 09:44

I tend to post on my phone! I usually put x on texts! Therefore I v occasionally put x on my posts (always by accident)!

It's on an x!

Xxxxx Grin

bastardkitty · 25/02/2018 09:44

Cunt is fine hun x

Flutterbyeee · 25/02/2018 09:44

"Immature and uneducated" said 'Mermaidtailunicornhorn"

Legwarmersareohsoeighties · 25/02/2018 09:44

Sorry - it's 'only' an x

Purplerain101 · 25/02/2018 09:45

Does it really matter?! People get so worked up about such ridiculous things in life. If only people cared so strongly about things that actually matter

RaskolnikovsGarret · 25/02/2018 09:49

I sometimes accidentally do it in texts to my boss. Now that is cringey.

DH once said 'love you' after a phone call to my mum, forgetting it wasn't one of the DDs. He really cringed after that.
