To cringe when people just x at the end of their post?

I’m from a place in the UK where it’s common to put x at the end of a text, card etc

But even I find it really cringey when a poster puts an x at the end of their post .., I’m seeing it more and more on here.

But nobody is really getting worked up. I cringe yes because my SIL does it a lot. And yes she is uneducated, that is a fact. I dont analyse it so much. One of my colleagues is notorious for this.
She’s so lovely and fairylike, bless her lol.

She will send internal emails which leave a trail but will never forget the x on the end.

We liaise with the NHS frequently, they get the kisses too.

I'm also immature and educated. I sometimes do a x at the end of a comment if it looks like the op (or a pp) is upset or having a hard time because "take care x" is a lot nicer than "take care."

People have waded in against the op because she's been so needlessly, and unintentionally hilariously, bitchy!

I sometimes accidentally do it in texts to my boss. Now that is cringey.

DH once said 'love you' after a phone call to my mum, forgetting it wasn't one of the DDs. He really cringed after that.
