In this article of a mother killing her baby, it mentions that she has a personality disorder but not suffering mental illness. Wouldn't a PD mean mental illness?

I genuinely am interested in knowning more about PD as I'm worried about a relative who appears to have PD (from my limited knowledge on Google search). But I would have thought it would be considered as a MH issue.

Sorry it's from the DMBlush

Seryph,I completely agree with what you said about working and then being too tired to keep a clean house (when then earns you the label lazy) I was also told numerous times that cbt would help when I knew that it would open up all those old wounds.

I don't feel like I'm treated as a person,as a human. I'm just my current diagnosis and people are allowed to judge and mistreat me and funnily enough I am not allowed to be angry about this which goes against the various codes of conduct.i am not allowed to be sad that how I am being treated directly affects how I feel about myself.

I've been diagnosed with schizo affective PD so I have Psychosis symptoms which are treated with anti psychotic drugs & depression which is treated with anti depressants.

Not sure how the DM could say this type of PD isn't a mental illness when I take all these meds & see a psychiatrist 3 monthly..
