I started another post saying I'm unhappy with my job and was just thinking what job I'd love to do in an ideal world. One thing would be to own a lovely little gift shop just selling cards and pretty things with a seating area serving tea, coffee and cakes, sandwiches etc. How about you?

I'd like the job that Reece Witherspoon does in the theatre in Big Little Lies. Which is a bit like I do now. However, part time, by the seaside, where the sun shines.

And extremely well funded so not fighting for dosh. With the loveliest, always laughing set of colleagues.

Yes, that'd do me.

PumpkinPie2016 · 20/02/2018 22:47

I've always fancied writing crime novels - doubt it will ever happen though!

Quite like the idea of owning a small caravan site - possibly with my parents but funds won't allow Sad

Or a job involving data analysis but where I could work on it alone, without being disturbed!

FabiantheFish · 20/02/2018 22:52

Second hand bookshop owner, I would read books and drink tea all day and occasionally a customer would come in and I could talk about books with them Grin
I can't believe that noone else has mentioned it yet!

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 20/02/2018 23:17

beepthemeep which is why it would be so much better if there were certain lawyers (you!) to deal with those pesky clients and meetings and other lawyers (me!) to draft all day long! Grin

Sammilouwho · 21/02/2018 07:04

I’ve always wanted to be an archivist, or a librarian or a museum curator or art restorer - I have always dreamt of singing on stage though but my lack of singing ability and crippling anxiety slightly hinders that.

fairylightsdown · 21/02/2018 14:25

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 21/02/2018 23:16

I'd like to still drive HGVs, but not be confined to the A1 every day. Wind farm transport would be good. Big load, precision driving, out in the wilds. Never run at night either.

PurpleRobe · 21/02/2018 23:25
