Duck revenge:

pringlecat · 18/02/2018 12:44

There is a disappointing lack of duck photos in this thread. Just sayin'.

kaitlinktm · 18/02/2018 12:49

@TheXXFactor Grin

Mintychoc1 · 18/02/2018 13:00

Ducks in a row may be a bit annoying, but it's nothing compared to "that doesn't work for me", "did you mean to be so rude", and the ultimate "no is a complete sentence"!!

Mindhunter · 18/02/2018 13:07

The ducks in a row thing doesn't bother me as much as give your head a wobble.

As for swans i was attacked by those beautiful bastards while telling my son that they were gentle and wouldn't hurt anyone. I had bruises all over my legs and arms.

All I was doing was throwing food for them.

pennepasta · 18/02/2018 13:11

I have no ducks 🦆

KurriKurri · 18/02/2018 13:20

What does it mean ? Does it mean having everything organised for escape? - I've never seen it used on here (though don't go on relationships too much as it makes me cross

I've seen give your head a wobble - that annoys me, because it reminds me of a horrible doll with a wobbly head that my sister had as a child Grin it creeped me out.

My late MIL used to say 'all our ducks are swans' on a reguar basis. After I ditched her cheating son, I realised that her duck was actually just a big fat duck.

LoveLights · 18/02/2018 13:21

Are you on glue? it's an invitation, not a summons!

SequinsOnEverything · 18/02/2018 13:27

I habe never ever heard anyone in real life say this and it does annoy me too.
No at much as think (e.g. think investment banker). This never bothered me until someone else pointed it out and now I hate it!

IncyWincyGrownUp · 18/02/2018 13:37

Having your ducks in a row just means being super organised.

I’m not.

Whoops.

Kitsharrington · 18/02/2018 13:58

Give your head a wobble, OP.

DonkeyOil · 18/02/2018 14:04

I feel Lundy Bancroft should be a character on 'Emmerdale'. A slightly eccentric sheep farmer, maybe. Bit of a loner, but a heart of gold.

NotACleverName · 18/02/2018 14:09

Can you get half an hour's free advice from a solicitor? If not log it with 101 and cancel the cheque.

Meh it annoys me more when people diagnose people they don't like as narcissistic and any child whose playing up a bit as autistic .

There's lots of armchair psychologists on MN, so it seems.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 18/02/2018 14:53

Have you seen duck sex? Fucking hell, Mrs duck needs Lundy Bancroft.

Situp · 18/02/2018 14:57

Well I for one will definitely be referring to myself as "bevaginaed" from now on Grin

MazDazzle · 18/02/2018 15:03

YADNBU The only place I’ve ever seen it is on here and it’s a really silly phrase. Where does it even come from?

Exactly!

UnimaginativeUsername · 18/02/2018 15:08

Ducks in a row

Chifi · 18/02/2018 17:15

Some really great responses here, but to the others I think you really need to look at your relationship. He's an EA for sure, and counselling won't work at this stage. LTB.

I've logged the thread with 101. Even though we don't have 101 where I am. But I'm sure someone will pick up my voice mail.

I don’t really understand those shops that just sell novelty rubber ducks. How do they manage to sell enough ducks to stay in business?

margotsdevil · 18/02/2018 17:57

Not sure...but I know at least 3 people who
Collect them!
