The films i used to see when i was a child were all good. No bad memories of them.
However when I was a teenager, I started to go to cinema with friends or with my first ever boyfriend. Most of the films I hated are from that era, which is a shame. I should have better cinema experiences as a young girl.
Anyway here goes my list:
Carrie (saw it with my girl friends when I was a young girl and i left the cinema with a very heavy heart).
Mississippi Burning (unbelievably it was a date movie, i saw it with my boyfriend). Uncomfortable to say the least. Starting with a rape scene, Klux Klan, hunting and burning people alive, lots of anger and unjustice, very tense and definitely above our maturity level. I'm certain he didn't enjoy it either although we didn't talk about it.
Blade Runner - again went to see with my friends when we were young and alltogether we left the cinema half way through. It went way above our heads. We had lots of giggles afterwards though, about the what a crp choice of a film it was and how we left it half way.. Bonding over a crp movie experience. Ah, young days....
Unforgiven. Award winning Clint Eastwood film, went to see with DH cos he liked it. I hated it. I don't like cowboy films, couldn't relate to any aspect of that film. Never again.
Sleepy Hollow - again went to see with my DH. He liked it, i hated it. I don't like horror movies. Never again.
