And why
I have two
Wimbledon - so bad my maths teacher turned it off after 5 minutes
Angus thongs and perfect snogging - just girls chasing boys - worst plot line ever

OP posts:

The Matrix. Really don't get that franchisees popularityHmm

Lost in translation. Turned it off after 40 minutes. Total wank.

rothbury · 17/02/2018 20:32

Drive

Absolutely boring crap. Main characters had zero personality and the "plot" made no sense.

MexicanBob · 17/02/2018 20:32

Close Encounters of the Third Kind. OMG the tedium.

OublietteBravo · 17/02/2018 20:33

'Coming to America' is dreadful, but the worst Eddie Murphy film ever is 'Boomerang'

rothbury · 17/02/2018 20:33

Totally agree with Hippee about The English Patient. Self obsessed selfish characters apart from Juliette Binoche and her fella.

youngnomore · 17/02/2018 20:36

I absolutely love some of the films mentioned here.
Actually The English Patient is one of favourite films. Smile
I hated Ted and anything with adam sandler.

AlistairSim · 17/02/2018 20:37

Titanic.
Have never seen all the way through, by five minutes in I was praying for the iceberg, a mine, a plague, anything to make it stop.

DunnoWhy · 17/02/2018 20:38

The films i used to see when i was a child were all good. No bad memories of them.
However when I was a teenager, I started to go to cinema with friends or with my first ever boyfriend. Most of the films I hated are from that era, which is a shame. I should have better cinema experiences as a young girl.
Anyway here goes my list:

Carrie (saw it with my girl friends when I was a young girl and i left the cinema with a very heavy heart).

Mississippi Burning (unbelievably it was a date movie, i saw it with my boyfriend). Uncomfortable to say the least. Starting with a rape scene, Klux Klan, hunting and burning people alive, lots of anger and unjustice, very tense and definitely above our maturity level. I'm certain he didn't enjoy it either although we didn't talk about it.

Blade Runner - again went to see with my friends when we were young and alltogether we left the cinema half way through. It went way above our heads. We had lots of giggles afterwards though, about the what a crp choice of a film it was and how we left it half way.. Bonding over a crp movie experience. Ah, young days....

Unforgiven. Award winning Clint Eastwood film, went to see with DH cos he liked it. I hated it. I don't like cowboy films, couldn't relate to any aspect of that film. Never again.

Sleepy Hollow - again went to see with my DH. He liked it, i hated it. I don't like horror movies. Never again.

DextroDependant · 17/02/2018 20:39

Triangle. No idea what happened.

Lucy, started off so well but the end was crap.

Some film where people had to tilt the floor and kill people. Mot sure what it was about.

mirime · 17/02/2018 20:39

Off the top of my head...

Alone in the Dark was pretty bad. At one point I completely lost interest, then it got very noisy and I found it had completely changed genres.

Don't like Event Horizon. Just thought it was nasty.

Worst I've paid for is probably Terminator Salvation. Saw it in the cinema. Made T3 look good in comparison, and that was pretty awful. Only good things I can say about it is that Christian Bale is nice to look at and the music in the trailer was awesome.

Terminator Genisys was also bad, they managed to miscast most of it - what the hell were they thinking with Kyle? Not sure there are many gyms in a post apocalyptic world - but I think it managed to be marginally better than Salvation.

OutComeTheWolves · 17/02/2018 20:40

SATC2 and Sryiana are contenders but Blended with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore is without a doubt the biggest pile of shite I've ever seen.

Thedogsmells · 17/02/2018 20:40

Remake of Point Break, fucking dire. So much potential.

DunnoWhy · 17/02/2018 20:40

And Matrix. Again, went to see with DH. Again I hated it. I'm not sure if he liked it. I can't remember.

saladdays66 · 17/02/2018 20:42

Lost in Translation. It certainly was.
Mulholland Drive. WTF?

sonyaya · 17/02/2018 20:43

Oh yes, Birdman. WTF was that.

LittleMyLikesSnuffkin · 17/02/2018 20:45

La la land. Watched it recently on Netflix because DD has recently taken an interest in musicals. She fell asleep. As did I. Boring. As. Fuck.

SATC2 so so bad.

The ring 2 went to see it on a date. I nearly cried I was so desperate to get out of there.

Pete’s dragon the new version was so, so boring. And as the original was also shite why the fuck did they bother remaking it?!

CasparMum · 17/02/2018 20:45

The Mask.
The only film I walked out of the cinema half way through, and I really regret not leaving sooner. Bf (now DH), started wondering where I was and came out to find me. He was so relieved that I hated it as well 😀 that we went out for a lovely evening.

Kornerkutta · 17/02/2018 20:46

The Holiday and Pineapple Express. Both dire

PyongyangKipperbang · 17/02/2018 20:47

Pulp Fiction.

Loads of people I know rave about how fantastic it is, it's DH's favourite film, but I would rather scoop my eyeballs out with a spoon than watch that pile of unmitigated garbage.

Paperdove87 · 17/02/2018 20:47

2001:a space odyssey I didn't get at all.

And Locke. Except it does have a Tom Hardy shaped redeeming feature. Five minutes in we were joking 'imagine if this is just him sat in his car on the phone for the whole film...' little did we know...

TheFirstMrsDV · 17/02/2018 20:47

Blues Brothers 2000. It is unbelievably terrible.
The Miracle of the Cards. Fucking awful insult to oncology parents and the NHS. Mawkish shite.
Absolutely Fabulous. Awful

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 17/02/2018 20:49

Irreversible - most traumatic film ever. Never forgave my DP for taking me to it.

The film with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix about origins of Scientology (I think). It was so boring. We couldn’t leave the cinema as we were not on the end aisle. We should have though.

threatlevelmidnight · 17/02/2018 20:49

Was surprised to see the all time worst movie I've ever seen on here a couple of times as it's not a big one, but Meet Joe Black was unwatchable (as was SATC2 and Wild Wild West... to this day I hear the Stevie Wonder song and think of their bloody lyrics to it instead and it pisses me off).

But I love Mean Girls and Coming to America and thought Birdman was fantastic.

heyhosilver · 17/02/2018 20:49

50 Shades....bloody awful!!

AttilaTheMeerkat · 17/02/2018 20:49

Empire of the Sun has to be one of the worst films I've had the misfortune to sit through. 1984 and Lucy were further disappointments.

Would agree with your comments re Terminator Salvation.
