And why
I have two
Wimbledon - so bad my maths teacher turned it off after 5 minutes
Angus thongs and perfect snogging - just girls chasing boys - worst plot line ever

All Men Are Liars

An execrable Australian movie for the mid 90s. Truly dire.

Also, Shakespeare in Love. Gwyneth paltrowing all over the shop, ffs.

SharronNeedles · 22/02/2018 03:52

Megan is missing DO NOT WATCH

ChasedByBees · 22/02/2018 07:09

I’m amazed no one has mentioned Island of Dr Moreau yet. So awful. I had read it was deliberately sabotaged by the actors. These are interesting reading:

Mamma Mia- absolutely.
SATC2- I actually could feel myself blushing at the singing part. Truly horrific
The Phantom Menace- utter balls.

Worst of the worst- INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL!!! The bit with the monkeys swinging on the trees. If I could have found the director I would have punched him on the nose. Also it was full of plot holes. The aliens’ heads looked like those gooey silvery play doh aliens you get in Asda for £1. UTTER CRAP.

rogermooresfifthwife · 22/02/2018 16:17

I just watched Baywatch on Sky and came on here to search for it to see if there was a thread about how awful it is 😬

It really is probably the worst film I've ever had the misfortune to watch. Even Zac Efron's bare arms couldn't make it worth watching. But I had to keep going just so I could say I'd watched it all in its hideous glory.

It's the only time I've seen the Rock in a film
And I think he could be quite likeable in something else.

rogermooresfifthwife · 22/02/2018 16:19

I've just remembered my friend going to the loo while we were watching cabin in the woods and not coming back for an hour. That was pretty bad too.

KellyBailey · 23/02/2018 09:50

You should see Jumanji, he's brilliant in it.

Pointlessfact · 24/02/2018 23:04

Lethal weapon 3

PyongyangKipperbang · 25/02/2018 00:00

Lethal weapon 3

Then you cant have seen #4 because that is MILES worse!

FrancinePefko · 25/02/2018 00:05

The movie of Absolutely Fabulous..
Laugh? I nearly did.

LightDrizzle · 21/08/2018 00:57

I really disliked Mama Mia and Love Actually.
Westerns! WTF is that all about?
I’m sure I’ve seen worse but blocked them out as a defence mechanism.
Anyone see Empire of the Ants with Joan Collins? I was very, very young. It may have been so very bad that it’s entertaining.

katielouise3 · 21/08/2018 00:58

Paranormal Activity. Boring as fuck. Waited an hour and a half for something to happen.

Nothing did. Sad

Togaandsandals · 21/08/2018 00:59

Zoolander

katielouise3 · 21/08/2018 00:59

Oh yeah, and MAMMA MIA!

There is some 'emporers new clothes' shit going on there, coz it's supposed to be good! Confused

It's fucking awful.

katielouise3 · 21/08/2018 01:01

Oddly, I liked Love Actually when I first saw it (mid 00's???)

But now I think it's a bit naff.

The 'porn star' scenes between Martin Freeman and Joanna Page is painful to watch. Awful scenes!

katielouise3 · 21/08/2018 01:04

Girl on the train was shit. Shame coz the book was fab.

Greatest Showman was overrated. I was disappointed as so many people (younger people I know) said it was great. 5 out of 10 max.

All of the Lord of the rings/Hobbit films are boring.........

I loved Titanic though AND Muriel's wedding. Grin

LellyMcKelly · 21/08/2018 01:10

Bridget Jones’ Diary. The book was hilarious. Bridget was funny and feisty and fearless. In the movie she was drippy and pathetic. The timing was all wrong age wise, but Kate Winslett would have been a great Bridget.

LellyMcKelly · 21/08/2018 01:13

And Four Weddings And a Funeral, Love Actually, Notting Hill and all those other drippy, sappy, ‘romantic’ comedies. They were just all a bit twee and pathetic.

LellyMcKelly · 21/08/2018 01:14

And Mama Mia was awful.

I LOVED the Matrix though 😁

CheshireChat · 21/08/2018 01:25

Bit of a zombie thread, but irrelevant in this case.

My pet hates are
Perfume- I hated however much of the movie I tolerated, hated the book as well and I keep borrowing it trying to convince myself it gets better! I should like it, but I really don't.

And Annihilation with Natalie Portman- not dreadful as such, but WTF did I just watch and it really needed better special effects to carry the story.

ladybird69 · 21/08/2018 01:32

Another Adam Sandler one -Funny people. We walked out after half an hour.
Bridesmaids- not funny at all couldn’t believe all the hype.
Cabin in the woods. Still don’t know what it was all about!

HellonHeels · 21/08/2018 01:34

Butterfly Kiss - truly dire.

Mamma Mia (controversial!) Twat of a boyfriend. Annoying.

Brazil - boyfriend at the time gave me frame-by-frame description of all the 'best bits' before we saw it and just generally went on and on about how amazing it was. Then we saw it. OMG I nearly cried at how dreary and pointless and endless it was.

The80sweregreat · 21/08/2018 01:38

Some shit with Jennifer Anniston in it.
Friends with benefits. Turned that off after 15 minutes!

The80sweregreat · 21/08/2018 01:38

‘Sisters’ awful film.

BoiledFrog · 21/08/2018 01:45

Some random one about a man whose wife commits suicide, he then gets addicted to petrol fumes. Think it was supposed to be deep and meaningful, it wasn't.

I'm not a fan of any star wars films, make me want to gnaw off my own arm for distraction. I tried, even managed to get into got for an ex Grin

Curtain seen on the horror channel was terrible, but actually probably doesn't deserve a place, very absurd.

One on Netflix called would you rather was a wasted premise and the ending could be seen a mile off.

American mary was pretty ridiculous
