My boiler packed up two days ago so I have no heating or hot water.

I've taken three weeks' bereavement leave as my father died and I wanted to be there for my mother - but I'd only been in the job for a couple of months so I have resigned.

My mother is getting much worse and there's nothing I can say that doesn't upset her.

Lobster I’m sorry for your loss.
I’ve not had a bad day today but I’m always cross when I overeat and today has been another one

My work - called in to an emergency meeting only to find my boss and I in the office and I end up getting told off for something that someone else had done! And typically (only female in an all male office) when protesting my innocence/defending myself was that he was disappointed in my efforts and that my "weak excuses" were being viewed as not teamwork! 🤬

DCs and I have that bloody virus that's going round. Had it for a week so missed all the lovely half term things we'd planned. H working away so I've had to cope on my own. He came back today after nearly a month in luxury hotels, nights out with clients, business class flights... and says he's jet lagged and goes to bed.

Woke the fucker up to go and get groceries, which he did, and now he's back in bed while I'm dealing with runny noses and coughing up flem.
