@thedougarcuntess - I think my point was missed. If I was forced to grow and pick my own veg, I'd have no moral issue with it. If I was forced to kill an animal for meat, I couldn't do it. I'd say. Most people would have the same feeling. But as it's bought in the supermarket all packaged up, with no real thought for the fear and screaming that goes into it at the abbatoir ( no matter that it's free range or organic) then I feel a bit aggrieved people can block that from their mind.

Want2bSupermum · 12/02/2018 04:05

Kale. DH made creamed kale and I still didn't like it.

justilou1 · 12/02/2018 04:14

Brussels sprouts - or anything else that smells like feet.

Foobarjar · 12/02/2018 04:22

@brimfire - if you have a poorly pet you wouldn't put them down unless it was to put them out of suffering. Very different as they inject animals being put down with a sedative first and then something that kills them peacefully. They firstly can't do the same with animals you want to eat, as you couldn't then eat the meat.

Secondly, animals in an abbatoir are herded in, seeing their cohorts killed, if you watch a few videos on you tube you can see how this process is far from peaceful. Also if you eat out these days, most are halal - no stun, just throat slit whilst they say a prayer. Educate yourself before you compare meat industry to pet please.

I have a wonderful recipe for fresh octopus.

An inexpensive one: and even healthy if that sort of thing bothers you.

Patricia123456 · 12/02/2018 09:19

Haribo, any other sweets that contain sugar, Calories and nothing else. Grim.

A580Hojas · 12/02/2018 09:22

"any other kind of sweets that contain sugar"

what other kind of sweets are there? Confused

LoniceraJaponica · 12/02/2018 09:31

A580Hojas sugar free ones - which have a laxative effect. No thanks.

bsbabas · 12/02/2018 09:39

Ignorant poor people

Toadinthehole · 12/02/2018 09:45

Bovril.

Better described as Satan's diarrhoea.

ralfeesmum · 12/02/2018 11:04

Celeriac. I only tried it the once. Smells strongly of celery but once cooked is so bluddy bland that I was hauling spices, vinegars and herbs out of the cupboard to try to liven it up.

The most boring and pointless pan of mashed veg. I have ever done.

And don't talk to me about trying to peel the darn stuff......

2ManyChoices · 12/02/2018 11:08

Ribrabrob I agree!! I will eat most things, including 'offal' but anything from a goat tastes how our local city farm smells, of goat. Bluergh. 🐐

Yorkshirebetty · 12/02/2018 11:19

OP, what's chicken feer?

The80sweregreat · 12/02/2018 11:54

not keen on seafood and squid is disgusting.

LoniceraJaponica · 12/02/2018 11:56

Rhubarb does the same to mine as well The80sweregreat

The80sweregreat · 12/02/2018 11:58

Gooseberries are the same, a lot of soft fruit makes my teeth go weird.

Neganforever · 12/02/2018 12:01

Baked beans, pasta. Cheap chocolate, including Cadburys. Wouldn't try frogs legs or snails either.

JustDanceAddict · 12/02/2018 12:01

Lychees (eyeballs)
Lemongrass - tastes like washing up liquid
Would never want to eat: eels, snails, frogs legs, oysters. I do like some seafood though like prawns and mussels.

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 12/02/2018 12:02

Ready meals

Lollipops1987 · 12/02/2018 12:05

Celery. The stuff is evil!! Also any meat served with bones, skin, tendons and other weird body parts still attacted to it! Confused
