Mcdonalds burgers are 100 percent beef. Ds works there. No plastic or other dubious ingredients in them

For me oysters, big prawns are bleurggg

Soft boiled eggs
Aubergines..looked liked cooked cut up slugs to me. Ugh ugh

blackheartsgirl · 11/02/2018 10:27

Yy to lamb I forgot that. When it's being cooked it smell likes old blood

Graphista · 11/02/2018 10:35

Yes pre veggie I enjoyed black pudding, Lorne sausage, steak and kidney pudding, meat haggis, prawns, crab, mussels, winkles, faggots,

Never liked jelly though - big problem as a child of the 70's - every birthday party had jelly, usually done in Tupperware bunny mould.

Don't like lettuce - just pointless tasteless and sticks to roof of mouth, but I do like rocket so use that instead.

Also never liked the smell or taste of pork, guaranteed to set off my morning sickness when I was pregnant - ex loved it Hmm

I still love liquorice - too much - have to remind myself of its laxative effect Blush

Also love pickled eggs, gherkins, picallili - yes I'm a delight to follow into the bathroom Grin Grin

I really don’t like lamb, it has such an odd taste.

The80sweregreat · 11/02/2018 11:26

i used to love lamb, but it tastes odd these days even a really nice leg from the butcher. given up on it years ago.

reddington · 11/02/2018 11:26

A well done steak. Might as well put it straight in the bin.

SoFancy · 11/02/2018 12:15

Heartened to see all the lamb haters here Grin. Everyone in my life (bar the veggies!) seems to love it and says its their favourite meat. I dread dinner invitations around Easter, when roast lamb is always on the menu and I feel like freak in my absolute hatred of it.

The smell is horrific. DD had one of those individual shepherd's pies from M&S yesterday and I had to go upstairs as the smell was making me retch.

NeilPetark · 11/02/2018 12:17

I don’t like steak at all. And if I tell anyone that I get the usual response of ‘you just haven’t had it cooked properly’.🙄

I have, I’ve tried it a number of times. It’s still chewy regardless of how long it’s been cooked (or not). I don’t like it!

PunkrockerGirl59 · 11/02/2018 12:19

Beetroot
Liver
Tripe
Black pudding
Oysters
Broccoli

Hesperatum · 11/02/2018 12:32

Oysters, octopus, porridge, tofu
My mother hated mushrooms (I love them) and said they tasted like 'stewed velvet'.

reddington · 11/02/2018 12:39

I maintain you haven’t had a decent steak then. A good piece of fillet served rare/blue should pretty much dissolve in the mouth. Certainly can’t imagine anyone describing as chewy.

Sparklingbrook · 11/02/2018 12:44

I have tried steak all different ways too Neil and YY still don't like it, still have to spend time with the dental floss after, and I find it chewy too, however it's been cooked and whoever has cooked it. It doesn't even look appetising to me.

DH often has steak when we go out and I never look at it with Envy. I am quite happy with chicken breast.

acornsandnuts · 11/02/2018 12:48

Liver
Pork scratchings—it’s skin—
In fact I’ll put all offal out there

Sparklingbrook · 11/02/2018 12:49

Yep-pork scratchings with hair and nipples-yum! Sad

NeilPetark · 11/02/2018 12:50

And there’s my point. I don’t like it. People are obsessed with steak and don’t understand that some people don’t like it and seem to take it as some sort of personal offence and try and convert me.

ScreamingValenta · 11/02/2018 12:54

Milk - I hate the stuff.

Sparklingbrook · 11/02/2018 12:54

YY Neil, maybe we just don't like steak. it is allowed isn't it?

NeilPetark · 11/02/2018 12:56

Sparklingbrook
No it’s very much not allowed and steak lovers can’t accept this! Grin

storynanny · 11/02/2018 12:57

Quite a few things I dislike intensely but would be able to swallow if it was the last food on earth, offal, rice pudding, custard, oysters, mussels, porridge are a few but.....
I will never eat durian fruit, I cant get past the smell.

BakedBeans47 · 11/02/2018 12:59

I’d never try and convert someone who didn’t like steak into liking it. All the more for me, it’s my favourite food Grin

Mominatrix · 11/02/2018 13:10

Wow, some people really have food issues!

I am pretty openminded, but I can't really warm to:
-Quorn or any fake meat substitute
-ovecooked pasta
-most sausages
-black pudding
-natto
-1000 year old eggs
-insects, except maybe sea insects (prawns, crabs,)
-supermarket bread
-supermarket sushi
-most mayonnaise. The exception is Japanese mayonnaise
-icing on cakes
-hard boiled eggs
-acorn jelly (a korean favourite)
-butter sauces on fish

Sparklingbrook · 11/02/2018 13:11

I don't see it as 'food issues'. I see it as life being too short to eat food you don't like.

Greensleeves · 11/02/2018 13:55

Cheap/processed meat
shellfish (I love fish/crab, but no little fuckers in shells)
offal
black pudding (pig scabs)
pork pie (jelly)
prawns/shrimp
squid/octopus (like chewing on an inner tube)
meatballs
quinoa (grated wax)
thai green/red curries
fish with bones in it
reformed/shaped chicken
asparagus
goji berries (poisonous raisins)
rollmops
sesame prawn toast
Ginsters greyfood of any description
undercooked egg white
bread and butter pudding
frozen blackberries (I love fresh ones, but the frozen cunts have no flavour, nasty texture and ruin a frozen fruit medley)
pate with lumps in it
okra

laudanum · 11/02/2018 14:05

• Shellfish. SLIMY AND IT FILTERS FISH POO.
• CELERY. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?
