Does the drama get any better as they get older?

Mine is only 7 and she is so full of drama this school year as are many of her friends according to the mums. Regular tears and tantrums because so and so was mean or somebody said this or someone fell out with someone else.

I have an older son and he was fairly easy to Manage with very little drama.

A good friend of mine tells me it gets much worse when they are teens before it gets better!

Please give me some hope......

I have a ds and dd, close in age. Ds is more prone to drama and meltdowns at the moment, loves to exagerrate and flap about.

with pass and cardi We're all on a continuum between ultra female and ultra male with most of us in the middle. I suspect we swing between the two according to nature and family upbringing - and what's accepted or tolerated. And as other PPs have said, how behaviour is described. Eg my DS is going through a tricky patch, my DD is dramatic.

Having said that - both my ds and dd went through problems from 11 on - partly puberty and dealing with school and themselves. However ds was more willing to talk to me while dd went for her cohort.

I've 3 girls 10, 7 and 5. My 7 year old is the one full of drama very like what you describe. My 10 year old wasn't as bad but i do think she's beginning to get hormonal now she's getting a bit prone to mood swings. My 5 year old is the happiest funniest little thing so I'm hoping she stays that way Grin
