I am due to pick DD up (almost 2) shortly from nursery.

I am in desperate need to go shopping

Would it be unreasonable to go after nursery pick up? Even though supermarket is 15 min drive and it's rush hour and normally we come home an have play time before she goes to bed at 7?

Tough decision Blush

I get it OP- yanbu! At least at waitrose you can have a free latte and buy your dd a mini gingerbread man as treat for 10p

youngestisapsycho · 06/02/2018 17:16

Stick her in the trolley seat with a bag of quavers and whizz round the shop!

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 06/02/2018 17:18

Glad someone else was of the Magic 8 ball fortune teller era!
"MN, My eyeball is hanging out of it's socket. Should I go to A and E?" made me laugh Grin

OP you sound like you have a charmed life.

falsepriest · 06/02/2018 17:19

youngestisapsycho

Waitrose, darling. Big bag of quinoa.

youngestisapsycho · 06/02/2018 17:22

True! Although they do sell pork scratchings....

RowenasDiadem · 06/02/2018 17:24

I'm confused

RainbowGlitterFairy · 06/02/2018 17:25

Oh OP, you could have started some great threads...

AIBU to ask the worst thing your toddler has done in Waitrose? - Last time we went DD sat on a bag of kale, which exploded, there was kale everywhere.

AIBU to be pissed off with annoying micra mum? - Her parking is awful

YANBU to go shopping, YABU to deprive us of the far more entertaining threads

umbrellatella · 06/02/2018 17:25

I have arrived. DD is good. DP called and we sung wind the bobbin up to DD.

I have used a parent and child parking space. It isn't too busy in the car park.

Remember to get your free hot drink!

gluteustothemaximus · 06/02/2018 17:36

I want a magic 8 ball now Grin

falsepriest · 06/02/2018 17:38

@gluteustothemaximus

Can Gleuteus have a Magic 8 ball?

Glitterball "My sources say No"

Goddamnit, sorry! I tried!

gluteustothemaximus · 06/02/2018 17:44

Very good Grin Grin

Flomy · 06/02/2018 17:47

I told you not to go

YABU to DD

For that reason, I can't invest. I'm out.

WorraLiberty · 06/02/2018 17:49

Did it really only take you 4 minutes from driving off, to arriving at the nursery, parking up, typing the next post and going in? Confused

falsepriest · 06/02/2018 17:51

Wonder what the cat had for dinner...

Glitterball Vegan Whiskers!

Thanks, 8 Ball!

SparkleFizz · 06/02/2018 17:51

Hope it goes well, OP.

I prefer to avoid late afternoon shopping trips with the DC - they’re getting tired and it degenerates into chaos far too easily at that point of the day.

But sometimes it just can’t be put off till the next day. Best to get it over with as quickly as possible in that case.

SilverySurfer · 06/02/2018 17:58

For the indecisive, all your worries are over: www.ask8ball.net/

I just asked if I should go to the supermarket and it said 'very doubtful' so I'm not risking it Grin

sophie150 · 06/02/2018 18:00

You used a parent and child space?
Entitled or what! Yabvu! 😀

umbrellatella · 06/02/2018 18:07

Nursery is at the top of my road so yes it only took that time!

I spent £101 in Waitrose.

DD was well behaved

I am now debating what to cook for dinner tonight with purchases.

Heading home now.

OP posts:
umbrellatella · 06/02/2018 18:07

Sophie I also opened some crisps and DD ate them before we paid.

Imchangingmyname · 06/02/2018 18:12

Ooh I love Waitrose! Has yours got a cafe, OP?

SilverySurfer · 06/02/2018 18:15

I'm getting an idea of what your FB may be like OP. Do you record every activity, no matter how small, for posterity? Grin

Tarraleaha · 06/02/2018 18:16

The diagram deserves a medal! Star

Now what shall I cook for tea? The kids are gonna be hungry. Anyone?

frankie001 · 06/02/2018 18:42

I want a cat photo! Without one you are 100% unreasonable

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 06/02/2018 18:44

Sorry Tarra the Magic 8 ball says "Outlook good" you can only ask yes or no questions.
I'd suggest fish fingers
