He just went and got me a cup of tea and a hot cross bun. He only put butter one one side. One fucking side . What sort of deviant eats hot cross buns either a) without butter, or b) like a sandwich. I'm ltb.

My D H nearly caused conniptions the day he tried to feed no.2 son unbuttered toast. He'd put the jam on but for some reason had failed to understand that the BUTTER GOES FIRST. He didn't think it needed it?!

I love mine just sliced in half and then lovingly (ie lots) spread with salted butter, Lurpak if we have it in. Delish Deffo NOT eaten with one side buttered as a sandwich. He should sit in a corner and have a really good think OP.

My (otherwise very sweet ) step MIL once served DH and me HCBs straight from the fridge - so not even room temp, let alone anywhere remotely close to hot - with marge. It was not a happy moment.

But we have managed to get past it and move on. There is hope your relationship after serious HCB transgressions OP if you are willing to work on it.
