Lmao at the PPs in their salopettes and running gear.

I'm propped up in bed MNing, drinking tea and eating cereal tutting at you lot Grin

Zaphodsotherhead · 05/02/2018 10:16

I'm not on shift until 1.30, so I'm in bed, tea in mug, dog under the covers and writing a new book.

Can't beat bed on a chilly day.

frasier · 05/02/2018 10:17

OK, joined you with blanket on the sofa now.

Please wake me up at just before 12 Grin

SprogletsMum · 05/02/2018 10:17

I wish I could be tucked up in bed. I've had flu for 4 weeks and I'm mostly better but the cough is lingering and I'm still really weak and tired.
I need to go and prep veg for tea and go and sort out a SIM card for my nan but I can't be bothered to move off the sofa.

PinkHeart5914 · 05/02/2018 10:19

Enjoy OP, it’s what days off at you for!

My dh has gone back to work today after 7 weeks paternity leave, I am alone with 3 dc under 3! Tbf I did get a nice stay in bed at the weeekend so I can’t complain really

WashBasketsAreUs · 05/02/2018 10:22

I didn't get up til 10! Got lots to do but gotta catch up on MN first.

Blackteadrinker77 · 05/02/2018 10:26

That's what days off are for!

Feck the guilt.

I'm still in bed now and hubby just brought me a tea and the laptop. I could get used to this convalescing lark Wink

LondonLassInTheCountry · 05/02/2018 10:28

All enjoy, you all deserve it for bringing up future generations

jaseyraex · 05/02/2018 10:35

If you can't be lazy on a day off, when can you! Enjoy OP.

We've just got back from nursery having been sent home because of a broken fire alarm that wouldn't stop going off. So we picked up a greggs breakfast on the way home, cbeebies is on, put our pyjamas back on, and snuggled up on the sofa. It won't last long but still Grin

LondonLassInTheCountry · 05/02/2018 10:44

I am being very lazy.

I should be up making MIL breakfast, but shes snoozing and I'm laying in bed, on here but thinking about getting up...
I have already spoke to her doctor this morning, which makes me feel a little better about myself Blush

Notthecarwashagain · 05/02/2018 10:54

@MamaTJ during the end credits of the Suffragettes, it lists all the dates and countries when women got the vote. (Not sure if that'll make the timeline easier Smile )

I spend most Mondays drinking tea and catching up on programmes I've not been able to hear/watch/sit down long enough for.

We are none of us U!

Notthesoap · 05/02/2018 12:12

I would kill for a morning like you describe op. Enjoy it. Guilt is only a state of mind Wink

WashBasketsAreUs · 05/02/2018 12:31

Oh and before I started the housework I had to listen to Popmaster and have another cup of tea.

Funny thing, autocorrect tried to change the above to "poo master!"

buzzybuzzbuzz · 06/02/2018 19:00

I went to bed at 10:20 and didn't move until 1:30. I ate a chocolate orange while I was in there.
I did no housework and I don't even care.
DH was sad because his friend had been banging on about KFC all day, so we had a takeaway.

I'll try again tomorrow.. although I'm going to have DD off school as she's come down with chicken pox (finally!!!) so she may need cuddles in bed all day!
Still need to take DS to school though :(

Crumbs1 · 06/02/2018 19:13

I sit in bed drinking tea most mornings until around 8.45. Later at weekends. My husband comes back from running the dog, makes the tea and joins me.It’s our favourite part of the day.

stardust18 · 06/02/2018 19:29

Sounds fabulous, Enjoy Wink
