TathitiPete · 05/02/2018 09:51

Sounds blissful, I'd love to join in but I doubt DS (almost 2yo) would be happy! Grin

Brew enjoy

Why can’t you relax with a cup of tea if you want to?

Because it makes me feel bad- i know he would love the chance to do this. Having said that, i'm no closer to getting up so can't feel that guilty.I might just put the key in the door anyway...

I am working from home so sitting on the bed with my computer. Will be drinking plenty of tea throughout the day!

longta · 05/02/2018 09:54

DH would be delighted to find me in bed.......

Mrscaindingle · 05/02/2018 09:55

I am sitting up in bed drinking coffee and eating chocolate digestives in my running gear Blush. At least I had good intentions but it's just so cold!

diddl · 05/02/2018 09:56

I didn't get up until 9 this morning & have still yet to do anything useful.

Cba to shop, so the main meal of the day for folks will be whatever they can find!

OuchBollocks · 05/02/2018 09:57

My house is a fucking shit tip and I ought to clean it while the baby is snoozing and DD is at nursery but I cannot be arsed.

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 05/02/2018 09:57

I work 4 days a week, and today is my non-work day. I am on the second coffee and only just got dressed. I don't even have any kids. I just work compressed hours because having a day a week all to me means I can cope with the other 4 days.

i know he would love the chance to do this

But he has a chance to pop back home when he likes?

MissDuke · 05/02/2018 09:58

I am sitting in the kitchen drinking tea too! Plan to light the fire and then catch up on call the midwife. Don't think I will be doing much else today! Midweek days off are such a treat.

frasier · 05/02/2018 10:00

Got DS up and dressed and breakfasted, de-iced the car, done the school run, bit of shopping, dishwasher for the breakfast things, recycling out (collection day)... got until 12 now before I have to go out again.

To those who are still in dressing gowns/bed, who does your school run? Are your children old enough to get themselves up and out and there? Can't wait for that day!

I never feel guilty for having a lazy day. Today I’m doing very little after a busy weekend and tomorrow I’m even packing my youngest off the to childminder while I stay at home. I’ll probably do some jobs I can’t do with a toddler around but mostly I’ll be sitting down and enjoying the peace and quiet. If my OH dared say anything he’d be swiftly told where to go.

youcantalwaysgetwhatyouwantt · 05/02/2018 10:01

I'm sitting binging on friends, drinking tea and heading for a bit of Victoria sponge that keeps winking at me me and my husband have started dieting today 😳😁

MammaTJ · 05/02/2018 10:03

I am currently on my third cuppa. I have let the workmen in to finish my kitchen and am watching Jezza. I really should be watching Suffragettes with DD but actually, well, I don't want to yet.

We will watch it after Jezza and another cuppa, then I will help her do a timeline of when women got the vote in different countries. Then we will do maths and English. Maybe.... It's one of those 'can't be arsed' days.

WingsOnMyBoots · 05/02/2018 10:03

I've just finished my take-a-away Costa coffee that my husband fetched from the local garage - yes, I am in bed!

AnachronisticCorpse · 05/02/2018 10:05

I’m not in bed (no telly up there) but I’m under a blanket on the sofa drinking coffee and watching the new Cloverfield on Netflix. House is a midden, and I will get to it but just not yet.

The weekend was busy and I’m knackered, and the school run in the snow (such as it was) was about all the effort I can muster for the next few hours. Sorry not sorry.

Heartofglass12345 · 05/02/2018 10:06

He could always join you if he pops in Wink
I've left peppa to babysit while i have my breakfast and a cup of tea in the kitchen, or my greedy 2yr old will want my food too even though he's had his! He's like a human dustbin Grin

Crunchymum · 05/02/2018 10:07

You're living the dream OP.

I've been up since 6am (was up at midnight and 3am too. Have an almost 3 week old baby), have done the school run and all that entails and am now going to venture to the shops with 3yo and baby.

It's half term next week, I'll make sure we all have a few PJ days.

happytobemrsg · 05/02/2018 10:08

Got DS up & did us both breakfast. Next is dropping him off at MIL while I have a duvet day. I'm very close to MIL & she has DS for me twice a week. I usually do housework & run errands but this bloody cold won't shift & ive decided I need a rest more than the toilet needs cleaning!

happymummy12345 · 05/02/2018 10:09

I wish I was.

octonaught · 05/02/2018 10:11

I've had my tea & 2 jammy dodgers.
Time for a coffee, but I'll have it on the sofa (with a blanket) Wink

Theyhaveallbeenused2 · 05/02/2018 10:11

I'd say luckiest! Sounds heavenly..only thing missing is a book.

lizzlebizzle33 · 05/02/2018 10:12

No!! I wish I could be doing the exact same thing😩😩

octonaught · 05/02/2018 10:13

So nice to find my people on this thread Grin

HulaMelody · 05/02/2018 10:14

I’m off work sick today yet it feels so decadent to lie in bed watching TV. I have no energy to do anything yet feel like I should be...
