Last Tuesday when my ex really upset me.

mycatisawesome · 04/02/2018 20:39

Tonight as I was putting a cot quilt in storage that my granddaughter has been using . I cried because 25 years ago my then husband was tucking our son up under it. My husband died a couple of years later . The moment and that memory just overwhelmed me .

There was a report in the local paper about an elderly couple that died within hours of each other. They were both 97 and had been together for 69 years.

The eulogy written by their son included this phrase... 'Ever the gentleman, my dad held the door open and let her through first '

Jesus. I cried for about half an hour.

My Mum died a couple of weeks ago so I'm crying at the drop of a hat at the moment. Doesn't take much to set me off. More tears ahead tomorrow (funeral).

EyeDrops · 04/02/2018 20:46

Getting my period, again, after months of ttc. And it was my birthday, just felt like a kick in the teeth!

Thanks for everyone going through such horrible times

happyfrown · 04/02/2018 20:47

My reflection

coffeeclouds · 04/02/2018 20:50

A few hours ago. I've been through the emotional mill the last six months with a relationship breakup and then getting my heart broken by someone else. Just felt so sad and lonely today and wondering if I'll ever meet someone that's the right fit for me. You know, self pitying stuff.

Sprinklestar · 04/02/2018 20:50

Recounting to my mother about the red panda passing away on Secret Life Of The Zoo today at lunch time... can sob at the drop of a hat

Trashboat · 04/02/2018 20:50

My dd singing a song off The Greatest Showman in the car today.

She was so passionate about it, I welled up. And I absolutely sobbed at the movie the other day.

I don't know why, it makes me feel so emotional.

BertieBotts · 04/02/2018 20:52

I should not have read this thread while pregnant Blush

DeadDoorpost · 04/02/2018 20:55

IAmBreakmasterCylinder · 04/02/2018 20:56

Last full on cry was in a horrible situation at work a couple of weeks ago.

I teared up at this weeks episode of Will and Grace.

IAmBreakmasterCylinder · 04/02/2018 20:58

Deadoorpost sorry to hear that. Have you got someone you can talk to? It’s so tough, hugs to you Flowers

ToeTouchingTitties · 04/02/2018 21:01

On Friday, when my wife got diagnosed with colorectal cancer.

And then later the same day when my 5 year old DS screamed that he didn't want us to give him his weekly injection for his juvenile arthritis. That just broke me.

All in all, this week has been a shit one.

MerryInthechelseahotel · 04/02/2018 21:11

Oh so many sad stories Thanks to you all.

Now you did ask about the last time I cried and I'm very embarrassed to admit it but last night whilst watching The Voice when nobody turned for someone and they were upset. I do cry very easily though Grin

DialsMavis · 04/02/2018 21:14

I cried this morning because someone I thought was a good friend was really unpleasant to me last night when we were both drunk

HicDraconis · 04/02/2018 21:14

Saturday evening when I was taking a suddenly very poorly dog to the vet. Had no clue what was wrong with him and he was just lying flat in my arms the whole journey (DH driving, kids sobbing in the back). I thought I was going to lose him and I was so scared - he's only 5 years old.

Vet diagnosed "having too much fun and not knowing when to stop", gave him honey water and fluids and pain relief - and he was fine the following morning.
