To be sad I have wasted my life barely noticing Kevin Bacon

I always thought he was a bit too pointy but I find him very attractive these days in the EE adverts. And I am watching Footloose now and he was quite gorgeous then. That film was made in 1984. I have wasted decades when I could have been appreciating him. Aibu to feel like this?

he looks good in i love dick on amazon prime

UpstartCrow · 03/02/2018 20:07

You ok sis? Wink if you cant talk. Grin

Callamia · 03/02/2018 20:07

Yes, because you’d be cringing so hard at those EE commercials now
that the last thirty years would be wasted anyway.

Grammar · 03/02/2018 20:09

I think he's lovely. Was just saying to DH the other day that he would look good playing David Bowie.

RJnomore1 · 03/02/2018 20:10

You need to watch The Following

You can thank me later

witchofzog · 03/02/2018 20:12

Haha upstart Please tell your sister he is mine Grin

On a different note his love interest in Footloose is an absolute dick. First she nearly kills herself and others by straddling 2 cars and with a truck hurtling towards her. And now she has just stood in front of a moving train with a stupid grin screaming excitedly so he has to rescue her. Proper attention seeking silly moo (I am way over invested I know!)

Hmm not for me but horses for courses

Just wanted to give thumbs up to his "angry dancing in a barn" scene if you're watching Footloose, that is great Grin

jollyjester · 03/02/2018 20:16

The following is Amazon prime I think.

Not for the looks but he was brilliant in Murder in the first. Such a moving film.

ShimmeringBollox · 03/02/2018 20:16

Grin at a bit too pointy.
I loved him in the following.

Enb76 · 03/02/2018 20:17

He's at his best in Tremors. I watch that film for him.

Ubercornsdiscoball · 03/02/2018 20:17

Ooh The Following was brilliant!

Chocywockydodahhhhhh · 03/02/2018 20:18

He seems lovely as well and faithful, always saying what a lovely wife he has

ShimmeringBollox · 03/02/2018 20:20

I loved the first series of the following, the second was good the third went to pot imo. Shame really because it could have been a long running thing.

ShinyMe · 03/02/2018 20:20

I feel able to rise above the awfulness of the EE ads because Kevin is just so fabulous. Footloose, obviously. You need The River Wild. Tremors, obviously. Apollo 13. He also made that terrible rom com with Jennifer Aniston bearable - Picture Perfect was it? Oooooh, and Murder in the First, he was superb in that, although not as attractive.

Springtrolls · 03/02/2018 20:20

He's been in a number of good films.
He's like a fine wine. Gets better with age.

steff13 · 03/02/2018 20:21

He is so badass in The Following. He seems like he's really nice in real life too. Just my impression. And Kyra Sedgwick. They seem like a couple you'd want to hang out with. And they've been married for like 30 years.

maras2 · 03/02/2018 20:24

Very brave of him to portray a paedophile in 'The Woodsman'

witchofzog · 03/02/2018 20:26

Apparently he has a huge willy too

MarthaArthur · 03/02/2018 20:28

Stir of echoes. Proper hotty in that.

MyBonnieLiesOverTheOcean · 03/02/2018 20:31

My BIL is a dead ringer for him. Luckily I've never found Kevin Bacon that attractive.

mumonashoestring · 03/02/2018 20:36

Pyrates Grin Bloody awful film but he's absolutely gorgeous in that one.

elQuintoConyo · 03/02/2018 20:41

Flatliners and Tremors are my favourite.

And apparently we are connected to him by 6 degrees Grin

LockedOutOfMN · 03/02/2018 20:42

He is fiiiiine. Luckily my friends started a Kevin Bacon fan club when we were at school in the 1990s so I became aware of his fineness back then. Check out I Love Dick.
