Ronald McDonald is a clown??

Just watching a programme and up pops Ronald McDonald, DD comments on how she hates clowns and I say that “RMc isn’t a clown, silly!”. DH and DD look at me as if I’ve lost my mind and tell me that of course he is . They had a good old laugh.

I’m shocked, I didnt realise he’s a clown, just a man with a painted face and a funny wig...and funny clothes.

So, dear MN who’s right??

I actually saw Ronald McDonald at the South Mimms Premier Inn a few years back. He was getting out of a Vauxhall Zafira.

I thought Clowns had small cars? With a large ladder inside? I’m proper disappointed now.

Just asked 13 year old daughter what she'd describe Ronald McDonald as.

Answer "a clown".

Seriously though, find one other non-clown with a painted white face, massive painted on red smile, red nose and giant shoes. Those are all the most common defining characteristics of clowns.

You might need to see a doctor, to be honest, before this spreads and you start insisting that Shawn the Sheep is actually a dog or something.
