So I do this every few weeks and it always seems to be liked. Just a nice easy chat!

*How's is your Friday night? What are you upto?
*
My little Princess is really tired tonight so she's already snuggled in bed playing with her teddies and reading and I'm about to step into a lush (intergalactic bomb) bubble bath for a soak and then I'm going to climb into bed and either read or just relax for an early night. There's only us two here tonight and I'm planning on enjoying the peace and quiet. Hope you all have a good night xx

DH has put DS to bed. I have just had a bubble bath and a large glass of sherry (out of wine!). I am now going to have a cup of tea and some pancakes and then have an early night.

EfficiencyDeficiency · 02/02/2018 21:20

Crunchy- congratulations on having your baby home :)
Was she born on 18th January? That was my 40th birthday!

I said on page 2 that my night was "shite" but it's actually getting better.

I had just got in from a hectic day and a massive food shop was looking at me, begging to be housed, I just couldn't be arsed.

Then dp asked me if I wanted him to "put my shopping away" I nearly throttled him.
Like he doesn't eat...

The dc were killing each other boy 14 girl 6, they fight like cat and dog.

Neighbour kept messaging me asking if I fancied having drinks tonight.
She always says this " let's just have a couple of glasses of wine " and then I roll in at 4. I can't cope with that tomorrow.

Ds and dp are doing a long trip tomorrow to London. Our football team ( Everton ) are playing Arsenal and I need to get their stuff ready. We're in Liverpool.

So that's me, shopping half away, I've ran out of room in the fridge and freezer, bra is off, pj's are on and I've opened a bottle of rose' to help things along.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable evening and to the pp who mentioned not ever getting the remote to themselves, here's your mate. I don't watch a thing but I'm the one who pays the sodding tv license Grin

Been to DDs school disco, DH working late so managed to get lovely teenager from across the road to look after DS. DD had a fab time at disco but was more excited with the 50p slime she bought at the plastic tat stall. Luckily, I suggested she bought some slime for DS too.
Fingers crossed their both knackered as I'm in bed with a large glass of vino tinto watching rosemary and thyme.
DH has a habit of forgetting his keys when working late, so he has been reminded!
Totally rock and roll here! Wink

Its been a stressful week and I've been feeling down in the dumps today. We had dinner, then I had a chat with my friend on the phone which perked me up a bit with a small glass of wine. I've ironed and cleared up some of the dishes whilst DP gave the baby a bath. DS is now sound asleep, DP is pottering around in the kitchen, I'm drinking a cup of tea and pissing around on the internet. I'll be asleep in the next half an hour as have to be up at 6am for work tomorrow but I'll probably read a chapter before bed.

Can't wait for the day to be over with, hoping tomorrow is better. Wine Cake

I posted upthread, but neighbour is back from hospital now, his blood tests were ok (apparently he took an overdose so I dialled 999).

I should call round before 10pm to check he's ok, then my duty is discharged for the night.

Im starting to get hungry now but I guess I could have some salmon on crackers and fruit.

Not my best Friday!

PumpkinPie2016 · 02/02/2018 21:29

I have had an extremely stressful week at work but it all worked out well in the end - just completely exhausted!

So, we (me, DH and DS - aged 4) went to a local Italian for dinner which was lovely and once DS was in bed, we have just been relaxing. Sat in bed now with a cup of tea and about to read a bit before sleep.

We are at some friends for a party tomorrow afternoon and I promised I would take fruit salad which I need to sort in the morning so want a decent sleep.

Not very rock and roll but there we go! Grin

mygorgeousmilo · 02/02/2018 21:31

Mine has been great, I had such a long hard week, and all I could think about every day was tonight after the kids go to bed! X2 people curry deal from Waitrose to myself Grin Belgian chocolate, after a hot Himalayan salt bath. I’m going to watch this bbc thing Requiem now

40+3 and trying to kickstart labour. So far today I've: walked on a treadmill for 2 miles, bounced and rocked on the ball for an hour, had a bath with lavender and clary sage, currently sat breast pumping for nipple stimulation watching tv.

Had some raspberry tea earlier, will have a 2nd cup before bed where I will be doing a clary sage and grapeseed oil bump massage and to round it all off, dtd with DH.

If this doesn't work - well fuck knows! Grin

JoeyMaynardssolidlump · 02/02/2018 22:30

youBetter good luck Flowers xx

tobee · 02/02/2018 22:44

Listening to/watching Vintage TV disco hour by the fire with dh. Dd upstairs doing whatever. Was messaging ds who's at uni earlier. But then he had to go off out with his mate. Cooked a really good recipe box dinner with roast cod, veg topped with walnut, rocket, harissa and orange zest pesto. Yum. Managing very well on 5th night of my no alcohol regime.

tobee · 02/02/2018 22:46

Oooh, yes, lots of luck youBetter. 🌺

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 02/02/2018 22:47

Best of luck to you! Thanks

Friday nights are my favourite. I don't work weekends so the whole two days are ahead...no alarm clock, no clock watching, just relaxing at home.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 02/02/2018 22:55

Sorry to be maudlin but my father died on Tuesday and I'm trying to sleep in my mother's boiling hot house!! (He was 93 so had had a long life). At 87 my mother is a remarkable woman but has never spent a night alone, so my sister and I are alternating staying with her.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 02/02/2018 23:08

Flowers for lobster
Also whoever just had the dog upthread I am envious of... won't be when DC move out of course but I am right now.

BestIsWest · 02/02/2018 23:16

I am ok now but it has been stressful.

Booked a special holiday earlier this week - a complicated booking with lots of different hotels, flights etc and was so excited.

Then got a call tonight saying the travel agent had cocked some of it up.
All sorted now but I was in tears at one point. Plus I’ve had this rotten flu.

DH brought me a take away curry and has plied me with whisky so I’m a bit more relaxed now.

BestIsWest · 02/02/2018 23:17

Flowers lobster.
