To ask how your Friday night is going?

So I do this every few weeks and it always seems to be liked. Just a nice easy chat!

*How's is your Friday night? What are you upto?
*
My little Princess is really tired tonight so she's already snuggled in bed playing with her teddies and reading and I'm about to step into a lush (intergalactic bomb) bubble bath for a soak and then I'm going to climb into bed and either read or just relax for an early night. There's only us two here tonight and I'm planning on enjoying the peace and quiet. Hope you all have a good night xx

Just had a hot bubble bath, DS is at his grandparents as I'm working early tomorrow. Just going to make a snack, no dinner as had a lovely late lunch with an old friend today then I have a live webinar to watch at 8pm, it's work related but something I'm very interested in so no hardship. Friday night is usually movie and pizza night here though.

ThatFuckingVase · 02/02/2018 19:09

Was supposed to be going out for burgers with DP... but he's off out for some sort of manly pursuits with his mates instead.

He told me he'd been invited but had turned them down, but he needs to blow off some stress with friends more than I need a burger, so I sent him.

Now I just have to decide if I can be bothered going to the chippy (no food in because I thought we were going out!), or if I just live on tea and digestive biscuits today. Hmmm.

MaMisled · 02/02/2018 19:10

I work nights but just going into 4 nights off. Four whole nights in bed! Just had homemade chicken casserole, DDs have gone out, my pjs are on, dogs and cats snuggled in close and DH and I are about to binge on filter coffee and Peaky Blinders!

Allthecarbs · 02/02/2018 19:11

Ive just got out the bath, now laying on my bed air drying and listening to a podcast.
Pretty good so far Smile

RadioGaGoo · 02/02/2018 19:11

Propped up in bed feeding an alarmingly alert and awake DS 10 months, DH is sticking some pizzas in oven. We are living with PIL temporarily and they are out tonight. Planning on pouring a G&T and settling down with DH, pizza and film.

In reality, DS probably won't go down until 20:00, pizza will be cold or burnt (or both), DH and I won't agree what film to watch and I will probably be so knacked that I will be in bed by 21:00, leaving DH with NCIS.

I'm having that gin though.

barefoofdoctor · 02/02/2018 19:12

Nothing like getting your bra off never mind the jamas on Grin I'm doing what I do every Friday; big fat nothing (trying to save money and too tired to go anywhere if I could!). Random road trip sounds fun.

strikingstarlet · 02/02/2018 19:12

Just been over to give the horse his dinner...all now back and warming up!!

Candles are lit, Joni Mitchell in on Spotify, youngest DD and DH are making dinner (another Jamie Oliver recipe involving aubergine & prawn crackers) Eldest DD is in bath and middle DD is singing her heart out in her room (if I was a betting man probably making a musically!!)

Friday's are my very favourite!!

mumof2sarah · 02/02/2018 19:12

My 5mo has just spat up milk in my hair (which I finally got round to washing today) after he had a lil wee on me earlier. His dad's back from work now and on duty whilst I get a bath and then I'm off to bed. Ah rock n roll all the way.

Chrisinthemorning · 02/02/2018 19:14

Just had a nice bath,DS is all ready for bed and playing in his room. Wine open, DH is making dinner (steak and chips) and we have just chosen a film on Prime. Grin

PickAChew · 02/02/2018 19:14

Not great. Better than Thursday night but my feet are bleeding from all the bloody eggshells I've trodden on.

EfficiencyDeficiency · 02/02/2018 19:15

Shite Grin

ScouseQueen · 02/02/2018 19:15

Ready meals and beer waiting for once DS is in bed. Then chilling and TV. For anyone seeking out good TV, check out Inside No 9 on iPlayer if you haven't already. Half hour episodes, all stand alone, very entertaining.

BackforGood · 02/02/2018 19:17

Bit frustrated really.
Was supposed to be going to my choir. Put my coat on to go a bit late 1/2 an hour ago, but then realised I have no car!
Logically, I did know (dh won't be back from a meeting in another City until late, and ds has our other one to go to work until late, which I said was fine, because I forgot dh wouldn't be home with the first car), but I didn't 'click' in time to phone someone else for a lift as I was running late.
Just cba to think about finding a bus now, and will have missed most of it by the time I got there.
So - 'annoyed with self' is the answer.
Will have to console self with a nice glass of something and an evening in front of the TV. Wink

sonjadog · 02/02/2018 19:18

I'm just in from dog training for the first time with my new dog. He moved in with me last weekend. He did really well. Now I am eating bacon sandwich while he lies at my feet and shortly we will be found in the living room - me knitting and watching tv, him chewing a bone (if the training hasn't worn him out).

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 02/02/2018 19:19

DH arrived home 2 hours late from work & was so busy he couldn't possibly text to tell me when to expect him, he then proceeded to make a twattish comment about something or other so it's wine therapy for me this evening Wine

e1y1 · 02/02/2018 19:20

@mumof2sarah recommend my town of Bury for your Notprthwest excursion.

On one side (8miles) and your in Manchester City centre, on other side (about 5 miles) you’re in the Pennines and on other (about 12) you’re in Yorkshire.

e1y1 · 02/02/2018 19:22

Sorry that is shocking, North West and You’re

mumof2sarah · 02/02/2018 19:25

I will reply to everyone ASAP, just tucking little princess in properly now.

@e1y1 I love Bury (live within a 20 minute or so drive from there) - especially the fish and chip shop on the outdoor market. I've not been in a while and am heading up there in the week with my mum. When I was on google maps then Garstang stood out. My MIL has mentioned it a cpl of times so may head that way x

Sitting on the sofa feeling slightly peeved, have just unpacked my online delivery and the 'extra special hand picked extra fine green beans' are best before the 3rd Feb.

I expect I'll cope by eating a strawberry and cream muffin, or two.

blackcoffeeredwine · 02/02/2018 19:27

Watching the soaps and eating steak while DH does bath and bedtime then when DS eventually goes down will crack open a beer and watch league of gentlemen! Early night and it’s my turn for a lie in tomorrow Grin
Going visiting my sister next weekend so that will be full of Wine, quiet one this weekend!

blackcoffeeredwine · 02/02/2018 19:28

e1y1 another Bury / Manchester mama here!! It’s brilliant living here for kids (and adults!)

nippey · 02/02/2018 19:29

DD was asleep by 630 and I’m laid on the sofa listening to an audiobook in the dark with loads of candles on, whilst my bath is running. I’ll have that and then go to bed, bloody love early nights!

BulletFox · 02/02/2018 19:29

My stomach feels a bit unsettled so I'm drinking juice and water and don't want food at present.

My neighbour is waiting to be seen in a&e, bit nervous about it taking so long as the last train back to our town is 11pm

Apart from that just reading and pandering to the cat!

tigercub50 · 02/02/2018 19:29

Got a bit emotional looking at DD9 all ready for her disco - so grown up! Bless her, she could have felled a buffalo with my Avon body spray but she looks beautiful. Now sitting & wondering what to nibble as I’ve eaten very little today. Will have Tesco Finest curries & some naan when DH gets home. Then watching Corrie (will Phelan ever get his comeuppance?!) & that spooky new serial “ Requiem” if I dare!
