Anyone following this?

OP posts:
alfiepetition · 23/04/2018 12:44

FFS is he going to stream the end of life process? Surely the hospital won't allow that?

MirandaWest · 23/04/2018 12:47

I feel very uncomfortable at there being live videos.

ShatnersWig · 23/04/2018 12:47

Fairy Police have been at Alder Hay for some time, unfortunately. Mostly once the Army showed up but, sadly, it has been necessary not only for the hospital to engage more security personnel but have Police on the ward due to parent behaviour on at least one occasion and to ensure poor Alfie wasn't removed.

Ollivander84 · 23/04/2018 12:47

I feel for the staff. TE saying in that video about making it uncomfortable for them

Anyone watching sky news?

The 'mob' are blocking the road and laughing at the police. This is so far beyond acceptable behaviour, there are riot vans at a hospital Sad

CakeOfThePan · 23/04/2018 12:49

Just seen it on sky news they’ve blocked the road outside and the police have moved in. There’s people laughing and joking enjoying the protest

fenneltea · 23/04/2018 12:51

I think he's going to be making an awful situation much worse, I can see him not being allowed to be with his son at the end the way things are going.

IronicWitttUsername · 23/04/2018 12:52

shanters you should be glad they are shouting Alfie and not MURDER as they sometimes do

FunkSoulSister · 23/04/2018 12:53

x2boys ahhh I did recognise the name of the drug, and realised that yes, my Granmother spent her last days on it to make her comfortable.

I clicked on the Royal baby news feed and their "army" have completely taken over in the comments :/

mydogisthebest · 23/04/2018 12:53

I am disgusted that protestors have blocked the road. Having to get riot vans there! They should all be totally ashamed of themselves.

Also why is the dad recording everything on his phone? Surely that should not be allowed?

Burntout93 · 23/04/2018 12:54

How would there stop him without forcibly removing the phone from him.

CakeOfThePan · 23/04/2018 12:56

Cross post stylish!

The European courts have refused to hear it. I just can’t see how on earth this is just going to happen.
That poor poor little boy

Ollivander84 · 23/04/2018 12:57

I've had midazolam twice as a pre med before a GA. Just made me feel drunk but happy, I was still conscious etc

MorningCuppa · 23/04/2018 13:01

The live videos are extremely uncomfortable, I can't believe the situation has come to this, I just wish the family would go and spend there remaining time with Alfie, TE said on his live feed whilst speaking to what I think was media outside, that when they remove Alfie from his life support and IF he breathes on his own, he IS removing his son from the hospital.

this isn't going the end well.

I hope the staff at AH are ok, I can't imagine the pressure and stress they are all under.

I hope Alfie has a peaceful and pain free ending, my thoughts are with him and his family.

Yamayo · 23/04/2018 13:04

Dad has now posted the time doctors are withdrawing treatment.
He's described it as a killing.

Doyoumind · 23/04/2018 13:04

I haven't seen Sky News, but I saw a clip of the army online. So sad for all the other patients and their families.

On social media people are posting details of timings which should not have been made public, and completely stripping Alfie of any dignity. I can't understand how stupid these people are.

Bratsandtwats · 23/04/2018 13:05

The Dad is misdirecting his grief. Posting on FB atm when the clock is rapidly running down, instead of holding his baby and partner. So sad.

I hope Alfie passes peacefully and his poor parents are able to seek help to deal with this tragedy.

blueskyinmarch · 23/04/2018 13:05

I really hope things calm down and the wee lad is allowed to pass away peacefully with his family by his side.

Doyoumind · 23/04/2018 13:06

Why is TE still posting? He needs to be spending time with his son. I really think he is in a terrible state of denial and this is going to cause him such pain in the future.

Yamayo · 23/04/2018 13:06

He's now posting pictures of Alfie. This is so sad...
It looks like he's live streaming the whole thing.

MorningCuppa · 23/04/2018 13:07

Dads brother has just done a live and it's all kicked off, the police have blocked the family from getting in and the family are shouting there scum and murders 😲 this is awful awful,I can't watch those lives anymore.

Poor poor baby, I wish they would let him go In Peace and dignity.

SaucyJane · 23/04/2018 13:07

Jesus there are some utterly stupid, utterly blind, utterly infuriating people in this country 😡

Mobs are never ever ever a good thing.

Bratsandtwats · 23/04/2018 13:07

I hope all the staff are able to cope too.

jaseyraex · 23/04/2018 13:07

I can't understand the thought process behind all the protestors. Have they no compassion for anyone else in that hospital? The families that are going through very similar situations to the Evans' that just want to do it all in peace? I would have been absolutely distraught with anger at people behaving like that outside the hospital when my son was having EOL care. It's disgusting.
