To wonder if you call it dusty pink or dusky pink?

My DSis is getting married this year.
I've been looking online for bridemaids dresses. I was under the impression the shade I was looking for was called dusky pink, but I'm not getting many hits and eBay wants to correct it to dusty pink.
When I do this, there's also lots of the same shade of pink dresses.
Which is it?
What do you call it? Because now I'm just confused.

To wonder if you call it dusty pink or dusky pink?

I'd call it dusky pink and I'm sure that's what it was always called in the old catalogues my mum used to get.

Itsbecauseimaleo · 29/01/2018 05:40

I've always called it dusty pink

LolitaLempicka · 29/01/2018 05:41

Dusky pink, but my American colleagues all say dusty pink.

FannyWisdom · 29/01/2018 05:42

Dusky, shadowy like dusk.

LunaMay · 29/01/2018 05:43

Dusky pink!

Sumo1 · 29/01/2018 05:43

Maybe try antique rose.

baby410 · 29/01/2018 05:48

I think it can be both...
The colour name of my bridesmaids dresses was dusty rose. They were by Sorella vita.

AdultHumanFemale · 29/01/2018 05:52

Dusky pink.

NotTheMrMenAgain · 29/01/2018 05:54

Dusky. I've never heard of dusty pink.

n0ne · 29/01/2018 06:09

Dusky! Dusty sounds stupid (imo). But I've also heard it called antique rose.

Fairylea · 29/01/2018 06:10

Dusky for me!

thecatfromjapan · 29/01/2018 06:10

Dusky.

I'm not surprised about ebay's preference for 'dusty' - we live in the era of 'tenderhooks'.

loveisenough · 29/01/2018 06:13

Dusky

BulletFox · 29/01/2018 06:15

Nquartz · 29/01/2018 06:17

Dusky here too

MamaLupine · 29/01/2018 06:17

I've always known it as dusky pink. I have seen it called 'Ashes of Roses' too.

HoppingPavlova · 29/01/2018 06:18

Dusky

Apocalyptichorsewoman · 29/01/2018 06:19

Dusky

LouseHouse · 29/01/2018 06:22

Dusky. Like dusk.
My friend says dusty and it makes me twitch a little.

CheapSausagesAndSpam · 29/01/2018 06:31

It's dusky but unfortunately, it's one of those misheard things which then becomes the norm...like "Pack Lunch" rather than packed lunch and "Mash potato" instead of "mashed potato"

BulletFox · 29/01/2018 06:33

Oh I loved The Thornbirds

AliceLutherNeeMorgan · 29/01/2018 06:33

Yes, I immediately thought of Meggie’s dress in Thornbirds. Showing my age!

MsHopey · 29/01/2018 06:34

Okay. Dusky it is :)
I was worried I was the one who was getting it wrong.
A lot of listings on eBay for dusty pink, which is why I started to wonder. At least hopefully then bridal websites and such use dusky.
