AIBU to go to Costa four times a week?

Reading all the threads about wasting money on coffees / mobile phones, I am wondering if most people would consider having a coffee in Costa four times a week an extravagance? I can afford it but am interested in hearing whether most people would consider this an unnecessary extravagance as my Dm and Mil are horrified at the wasting of money??

Sitting in a cafe drinking coffee on my own is one of life's greatest pleasures. Worth every penny

Plus by going there the staff in your local cafe has a job.

I can't imagine anything more dull to do with my time or money. But it's all yours so fuck the guilt.

I think many workplaces would benefit from a quiet room where talking is banned, to let people decompress.

I would consider it fairly extravagant and a waste of money but as others have said it all depends on whether you can afford it and the level of enjoyment you get from it. If it is adding real value to your life it's worth it if you can afford it.

If it makes you happy and you can afford it then no. Sometimes it's the little luxuries that make day to day life so much better :)

costa ground coffee is cheap on amazon. About £30 for 12 packs, and is vry good. You could even buy a costa mug to drink it from. This is how ive got my teenager to stop buying a costa every time he goes to college

I sit in pubs and coffee shops. Some pubs can be soulless TBF though.

It's extravagant if you are in debts, and moaning that you are broke. If you can afford it, and it makes you happy, who cares.

Other people spend a fortune on take-away, on having their nail or hair done, on tv packages. Technically, we all waste money on something if we spend money on anything other than basic survival items.

You know how much you earn, how many savings you have, how much money you have left for luxuries every month.

If you can afford it then why not?
I hate coffee, I only drink tea and hot chocolate. I do love costa hot chocolate though.

With costa, you're buying the space as well though, aren't you. Just a few minutes time to yourself to escape for a bit.
