To be terrified I might have cancer?

I have 2 Breast lumps in the same area of my breast. I’m 29 years old (was 28 when I found both lumps.

The doctor examined and said she wasn’t concerned (didn’t feel like cancer to her). This was about 6 months ago and I’ve found it hard not to worry even though I was given some reassurance.

One of the lumps feels like it may have got bigger and now I’m terrified.

If I didn’t have my two girls (aged 1 & 4), I wouldn’t want to get out of bed. I’m too scared to make a dr’s appointment. I don’t want this to be cancer. I’ve read that cancer in young women is very aggressive. I want to be around to see my children grow old.

I’m on my own as my husband works away, I’m just so so scared.

By the way. Don't pay £100 for a taxi. Tidworth Camp to Salisbury General, two buses: Activ8 to Salisbury town centre, Red 1 to the hospital. The Activ8 runs every half hour. Kids under 7 travel free.

At most you'll need a taxi from camp to the bus stop.

Good news, Breast lumps are down to hormonal changes apparently. They said thi can cause lumps (which don't always go away after your period) and also tenderness, which I've also experienced. They couldn't see any reason for my nipple cracking twice in the same place and aren't concerned about that at all. I'm so relieved and couldn't have got through this without you guys, so thank you Smile will most definitely be enjoying a glass of wine tonight Wine

LuckyLuckyWoman · 05/03/2018 16:13

Great news.

Do you have eczema at all? I has eczema on my nipples, they turned into a jelly mess and stuck to my bra, meaning every time I took it off my nipple came off with it:0 Just wondering if a but of HC45 cream might help.

flumpybear · 05/03/2018 16:14

Fantastic news ... I'd have burst into tears anyway ... which I did once when had a liver/pancreas scan which was all clear - the sonographer was confused and I just said it's the relief then she realised I'd been terrified

So pleased for you ThanksGinWineCake

snewsname · 05/03/2018 16:33

But at least now you've set your mind at rest. If you hadn't have plucked up the courage to go, then you'd still be scared. Well done and what fantastic news. The relief must be so great. Enjoy that wine.

GayAllen · 05/03/2018 16:57

Brilliant news! Thrilled for you 😁

Laura/G - even if you can’t manage advanced punctuation like commas and semi colons, at least try to master full stops. Then it will be possible to read your tiresome
burblings without becoming breathless.
