To be really suspicious of a MyHermes delivery?

I was expecting a parcel today - kids bedding so nothing expensive.
I got an email saying Hermes would deliver it between 11&1 today and it requires a signature, great I'm home all day so not an issue.

I've not had a delivery, I've been here all day and not a single knock but have received an email saying it's been delivered to my porch (I don't have a porch) AND been signed for my customer (me).

They are saying it's been marked as delivered so must be somewhere around where a porch might be Hmm
Surely if I had signed for it as they claim, they wouldn't have had to leave it in a safe place? I would have signed it and taken it!

They can't get hold of the driver so said they'll get back to me but I'm not holding my breath!
AIBU to think this is really really shit and the driver has probably signed for it himself and left it on the street somewhere?

I'm having this exact issue with a next parcel 'delivered' by Hermès!

Nobody knows or cares where it went! Next refunded me the money but don't seem to understand why I now want to close my account based on the fact I can't trust them/the courier (unsure which cause nobody will investigate to see what happened)
Apparently next contacted Hermès who said they tried and couldn't get in touch with the driver so that was just the end of it.
Bizzar to me that such a big company don't care about their courier giving them such a bad rep

@JinxJinx it's bizarre that they can't contact the driver isn't it!? Surely he/she will turn up to the depot each morning, or have a mobile phone! It's such a cop out Angry

I ordered school polo shirts from Tesco - we now have to get our school embroidered ones direct from them- and Hermes Text to say they had been delivered through my letterbox. Which they hadn’t. Checked the hedges and both neighbours still nothing.
Started a claim which they did the whole 28 hours thing with.
Phoned Tesco to check whether it was the plain tops or the embroidered ones. Tesco lady was lovely said they would re send the tops and it would be done with dpd ‘who are much more reliable’
Two days later my neighbour two doors down came to say my original stuff was put through their door and I got a separate dpd delivery with the replacement tops too...

Yeh to be honest I emailed Next back and called them liars cause I thought they hadn't even bothered investigating it, however it now looks as though it's maybe just Hermès 'line' to get out of dealing with their problems.
I find it hard to believe as an employer, Hermès can be happy with just not being able to reach their drivers

I, too, have had problems with Hermes. The usual "called but no response, etc." although I was waiting in.
As others have said, it is pointless trying to contact Hermes directly; I have tried. However, I have come up with a solution.
In future, when I order an item online for delivery, as soon as I receive notification of delivery and discover it is being handled by Hermes, I shall immediately cancel my order, provide an explanation of my cancellation, and look elsewhere for an alternative item.
