Basically strictly come dancing is at my local arena tonight.
I really want to go (and tickets left )
Nobody wants to go,not even if I buy the tickets.
I’m a 32 year old woman and here I am scared to go in case people think I’m a looser...would you just go?
Or skip?

@MissionItsPossible

Loser, not looser! Two seperate words!

Loser is correct. But it's separate, not 'seperate'.

Louise3445 · 23/01/2018 13:26

Sorry about my error!
I was too busy dreaming of glitter and sparkles Grin

Sparklingbrook · 23/01/2018 13:27

So are those tickets booked yet? Glitterball

Louise3445 · 23/01/2018 13:28

Not yet but I’m sat on Eventim booking page looking for the least obvious “I’m alone seat”Grin

Go - you aren't a loser, you're an independent woman

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 23/01/2018 13:28

I wouldn't go on my own but I wouldn't think less of someone who did. I don't like my own company I'm boring Grin

Louise3445 · 23/01/2018 13:29

I’ve got a bit of a crush on Kevin CliftonGrin
Hopefully il get a seat close enough to make eye contact ha ha.

blimey I go to stuff like this alone in spite of having people to go with.

just go.

CanIBuffalo · 23/01/2018 13:29

Mission it's separate not seperate.

Loonoonow · 23/01/2018 13:30

Go. I do shows/theatre/cinema solo all the time. Sometimes I chat to people seated around me, sometimes I just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. It's great to just please myself and there are always plenty of other people who appear to be on their own too.

CanIBuffalo · 23/01/2018 13:31

And I wouldn't be so fucking rude as to point it out except...Grin

FutureFairyCrayon · 23/01/2018 13:31

I go to gigs, the theatre and the cinema on my own, I bloody love it. In fact I prefer it to going with DP tbh.

BakedBeeeen · 23/01/2018 13:31

I went to the cinema on my own the other day, it was great! I don't really care if others saw me and thought I was a loser!

Louise3445 · 23/01/2018 13:32

Ok so I’ve booked block 102.
Now I’m sat with my stomach turning (silly )
I’m half excited, half thinking (what have you done)
Wish my daughter was old enough to take.

Rudgie47 · 23/01/2018 13:32

OP no one cares who you are or are not with.
The most independant woman I know did most things by herself and travelled all over the world, did loads of adventure sports etc. She was far from a loser.
Just go and enjoy yourself.

Sparklingbrook · 23/01/2018 13:33

Is there a single seat on an aisle end?

Louise3445 · 23/01/2018 13:34

This seat was in the middle.
So in my head I’m thinking if I go in late then people will assume I’m with those people.

BitOutOfPractice · 23/01/2018 13:34

Oh definitely go!

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 23/01/2018 13:35

Lots of dancing on this thread. A hoist and petard movement....very impressive. 5 points.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 23/01/2018 13:36

Have a grate time opWink

Feezles · 23/01/2018 13:37

Go go go! I used to do loads of stuff on my own when I was single, because I was damned if I was missing out just because. Theatre, cinema, holidays - and I loved it. I still do it now if there is stuff DH isn't fussed about and I enjoy it even more

passthepotatoes · 23/01/2018 13:37

Go, enjoy yourself and sod what anyone else thinks Grin

MissionItsPossible · 23/01/2018 13:37

I wasn't being nasty or snippy, I would want people to correct when I make spelling mistakes as well i.e. separate, not seperate.

CanIBuffalo · 23/01/2018 13:39

To correct ME when I make...

Sorry. I'll stop now. Smile

CanIBuffalo · 23/01/2018 13:40

Good luck OP. I hope you go to the show and have a wonderful time.
Will you report back?
