I currently have a neighbour who is pissed off at me because our joint landlord is doing work on the neighbouring empty flat which involves drilling into her wall and I didn't tell her.

I didn't know! Just as she didn't because the empty flat is nothing to do with me.

Capped off with her telling me it was a good job they were doing it today or she wouldn't have been impressed if it carries on tomorrow when she is on nights.

Anyone else deal with people like this.

I get blamed for everything from someone else's pain to the state of the plumbing.

Oh no Winged she's actually pissed off and left a shitty voicemail asking what was I having fitted and when I saw her and said it wasn't me she had a go at me for not telling me it was happening and told me it was a good job it was happening today or she wouldn't have been impressed. She won't have it that I didn't know.

I'm a mental health social worker, everyone is pissed off at me about everything. It's a good thing I like my job.

I'm a governor at my child's school. Since September, the things that other parents (mostly people who have never spoken to me before) have ranted at me about on the school run (and made it clear that me expected me to do something about) include:

• The fact that the school is on a hill so getting to the gate involves up hill walking
• Icy pavements on the way to school (immediately outside the school is gritted but our caretaker doesn't grit the entire town)
• The existence of SATs

My favourite was the mum who complained quite aggressively that the school Christmas fair was on a Friday after school, when her DC went to their Dad's. I explained that the PTA decide when to run events based on availability of the school hall and their volunteers but I would pass on a message that they might want to look at holding events on other days of the week sometimes. I asked in passing what day would be better for her. The answer- doesn't matter I hate those things and always ask their Dad to take them!

Oh there are a few, but todays current one...

Dd's friends mother is not happy with me, as her dd and my dd are not in the same class. She thinks I have rigged it with the teachers.

I work in the NHS so I'm frequently blamed for:

• long waiting lists
• lack of appointments
• people missing their appointments & then having to wait for another
• doctors not giving antibiotics (I'm not a doctor, I don't even work at the doctor's!)
• things that other HCPs say
• hospital parking charges

Gawd stop being so lazy and level out the pavement already

My neighbour thinks I poisoned their cat. It´s sudden and unexplained death coincided with rats getting into our property. She thinks I put poison down to deal with it. I didn´t and wouldn´t because of the amount of cats, dogs and small children (including my own) there are around belonging to neighbours I have always got on really well with.

Sad but also pissed off because the only reason she knows about the rats is that I went round to warn her about them as she keeps her garden like a rubbish tip and they are definitely in there!

Anything not done properly at work (it actually always is done properly its not rocket science but that doesnt matter to boss they dont think we can function without them there 24/7) or not done at all (cos we were to busy doing the important stuff to do the unecessary stuff), first port of call is "Willow did you do x,y,z it wasnt done properly, let me show you....."

"I did it. It was done properly. You actually havent a clue so dont bother. You are a controlling arse. Fuck off."

I'm a course admin in a university. My job is like herding cats mostly waiting for things from other people to allow me to pass the finished work to the students (marks, assignment feedback, test dates, etc). It always gets held up somewhere but because I'm the front line person, I get it in the neck from all sides.

My friends relationship has broken down and I think she is totally pissed that mine hasn't.

I’m a university lecturer. I have hundreds of students who’re pissed off with me because they aren’t doing enough work. 1/3 of an entire year group just found out they failed a module (I had nothing to do with the module) but as I’m teaching them this semester, it’s me that they’re pissed off with. That 1/3 don’t seem to have realised that their marks might correlate with the effort they put in though.

Oh well.

Although I have to do all of what you listed because my employer seems to think admin staff are extraneous. The very few we have left look like they’re drowning. And us academics really aren’t anything like as good at programme admin as professional administrators are.

When I used to work in a department store people used to come to my till and angrily tell me that they had been stood waiting at another till on another department. Why was that my problem when I obviously only worked on the department I was stood at.

I had that job for spending money whilst at college and I'm surprised that I never told any of the arsey, rude customers to fuck off.

Drowning is definitely a good way of putting it! I'm the only admin in my department, so I support 1500 students and a team of academics who can't make a single decision between them

Academic roles are definitely getting more and more bogged down with admin but the powers that be just won't take on anything like the number of admin staff that we need. They just keep restructuring departments and shifting responsibilities around until you barely have time to scratch your arse, let alone take a lunch!

Our new neighbours came round complaining our dog had gone into their house. We don’t have a dog.

dance teacher here. Apparently it's my fault that someone's child moved up in swimming and it now clashes with their ballet lesson. I should refund them for the lessons to compensate the fact that they can't swim on another day when there are several available to choose from, because their child does five other after school activities. Or that their friend is having a party on a saturday afternoon which clashes with ballet - that's my fault too, because the class has been on the same day and same time since september, but I should have known about the friend's party. Or that the exam date that I booked six months in advance coincides with granny's 80th birthday.

Or that their ex husband chose to go to the beach instead of bringing child to ballet lesson that child has been attending for 3+ years, that's my fault too as his actions and choices are completely my fault so a refund is required out of my wages, even though I turned up to teach the class (and the other children who came) as always. And of course it's my fault when any child doesn't get the high exam results they hoped for, even though they missed the last three practices before the exam due to attending after school hockey matches. My fault for not inconveniencing the rest of the group and moving the lesson that is always same day/same time to another day for those 3 weeks.
