You can change gender, change your hair type and change race!

I identify as Japanese because "I can't wait to go to Japan because I hear the food is tasty".

Actually, if I'm thinking about this, I want to be identified as a cat. I like the idea of sleeping, getting fed and scratching people when they fuck me off.

Seriously though, WTAF?

I'd love to know what munroe bergdorf thinks of this.

grannytomine · 23/01/2018 09:28

I can't get past anyone wanting breasts that big. After pregnancy/breast feeding I was always so glad to go back to an A cup. I used to think I would suffocate in the night if I slept on my back as the weight was crushing me.

Rebeccaslicker · 23/01/2018 09:29

Ah shock horror, munroe doesn't approve:

I think it says a lot that people would be outraged/shocked at a white person identifying as black, but women are being muscled into accepting men as women

I'm inclined to agree with this.

Nousernameforme · 23/01/2018 09:31

Poor Yorick
That poor woman is unwell. Shame on the surgeons who indulged her illness by ruining her body with those horrific implants. First, do no harm.

The same could be said for transgender people and the surgery and hormone treatments on offer for them which can leave them permanently sterile

ravenmum · 23/01/2018 09:32

More GoadyBlessing there :D

VladmirsPoutine · 23/01/2018 09:33

I also echo PP - if we are to accept that a man can be a woman on a Tuesday morning if he fancies it then this is no different. And to argue against that is apparently bigotry, ho-hum.

ALemonyPea · 23/01/2018 09:35

Given all the fruit and veg I’ve eaten this week, I identify as a lettuce, and shall be marching down to Tesco to demand they allow me my rights to lie in their chiller.

You can’t change your race any more than you can change your sex. This whole identifying as something else is getting ridiculous now.

ravenmum · 23/01/2018 09:37
Biscuit
PeacefulBlessing · 23/01/2018 09:37

Actually, I don't think it is goady.

It wasn't until I started to type it out that I realised how many parallels there were. I was just going to make a flippant comment initially about how, had I been a child now, I could have ended up with people being forced to treat me as a cat.

But I wasn't ever actually a cat. I had no idea what it was really like to be a cat. Only what I, as a human, perceived a cat to be.

How is it any different to a man having no experience what it is to be a woman beyond what he perceives a woman to be?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 23/01/2018 09:38

I’d hate to deadname you,Pea but you might want to name change in that case.

ALemonyPea · 23/01/2018 09:47

Good point Chardonnay, maybe the tinned goods would be more suitable.

Avonandice · 23/01/2018 09:47

She can identify as black, green, purple or anything she likes but I wish she'd put a decent bra on. Breasts that size must be a killer on the back.

VladmirsPoutine · 23/01/2018 10:03

@ALemonyPea You're right, it's gone too far. I can't even keep up with all the different terminology people have invented to justify it. It's just a shame that these conversations are shut down via #NoDebate and social-justice warriors waving their righteous flags.

I've come to the decision that being labelled a Terf is not a slur in my view if it means I have the cognitive capacity to point out the obvious then I'll polish my terf badge and wear it with pride.

Nousernameforme · 23/01/2018 10:03

Except PoC are saying she can't identify as black to do so is appropriating their culture.

FluffyWuffy100 · 23/01/2018 10:04

@C8H10N4O2 OMG woman trapped as a cat is amazing!

SchrodingersFrilledLizard · 23/01/2018 10:06

That's a pretty good analogy, PeacefulBlessing.

FizzyGreenWater · 23/01/2018 10:19

The madness will abate around about the time the first legal action is launched by someone who 'identified as trans' as a child (in much the same way Peaceful identified as cat) and was promptly put on hormonal medication which prevented puberty, way before the age of consent and way before the age where people grow out of perfectly normal developmental stages of wishing they were cats/women/wizards/boys/wolves whatever (it was wolves for me).

I think we will look back on this collective madness and Shock

The only longer legacy will the the successful erosion of womens' rights by the vicious dressed-up misogynists and the frankly disturbing autogynephiles, and (as as side effect) the trashing of effective means of support and protection for the transsexual population.

MiddleClassProblem · 23/01/2018 10:24

Tbf there is that man that had surgery to look like a cat.

silkpyjamasallday · 23/01/2018 10:26

I had no idea that melatonin injections could have that dramatic an effect, a school friend had a stepmother who had them year round so her tan didn't need an maintenance, but I'm shocked that this woman was allowed to have enough to change her skin tone so completely. It is incredibly offensive, whoever administered them should be struck off this woman clearly has severe mental health issues and allowing her to perform blackface as a lifestyle... I have no words. And that's without considering the ridiculous breast implants.

Surgery and cosmetic changes should not be how medical professionals deal with those who have dysphoria of any kind. Appropriation of race and sex is offensive, racist and misogynist to the core. Hopefully though, stories like these will open more people's eyes to the utter stupidity of the TRA agenda.

And me.

RosiePosiePuddle · 23/01/2018 11:12

This has nothing to do with the trans thing. This is so sad. What could drive a woman to such extremes?

PeacefulBlessing · 23/01/2018 11:24

This has nothing to do with the trans thing.

This is the trans thing. Some people identify as trans gender, she identifies as trans racial.
